Julie- As for running, I usually run once or twice a week about 3-4 miles a time. When pregnant, I keep that up as long as I can. It's usually this St. Louis heat that makes me quit running before the actual pregnancy. I am a really SLOW and heavy footed runner too. But, regardless, it feels good to finish a run.
As for the riverfront, it is really convenient for me because I work downtown. However, it's only 1.7 miles around the whole archground. And, the parking and accessability are just terrible, reminding me each time I run why our riverfront needs so much help. the stairs are great for 'interval' training.
I usually run in the parks down here (the city), like Lafayette, Tower Grove, Benton Park and Lyon Park. I live right next to the brewery, which makes a great run. I love looking at the Anheuser-Busch clydesdales and hearing the bottle sounds in the brewery. I like Forest Park, but never seem to get over there as often as I used to (we used to live in the CWE).
i used to go to clayton/shaw park a lot as a kid. how's the new baby pool there? It looks pretty cool. take care! Kristan
