Juicer ?

Does anyone own one and which one do you own?? Do you like it or do you covet a different one.

I am leaning towards the Omega 8005. A Greenstar would be nice but holy moly is that expensive

I have the Champion 2000. I had my eye on the Green Star, but yeah, too expensive for my use! We stopped at a fruit stand in Kauai that sold "frosties" using *only* frozen fruit, and we never tasted anything so heavenly as far as texture and likeness to ice cream/pure butter. So we came home and bought the juicer they used and we mostly use the juicer to make frosties with frozen fruit. :9

But, FWIW, I think it is a great juicer. :p

I have a dopey question. Do you only get the juice out, or any of the fiber and pulp too? I was thinking that it would be great to drink some of my fruits and veggies, but if it tosses out the fiber, that would be a waste.

jack land(sp?) juicer and I love it. You can now pick it up at Target. It comes with a juicer book. The only problem fruit is soo expensive in the winter. so I juice when I can...

That's one down side of juicing, IMO, but it has the benefit of concentrating nutrients (not good for sweet veggies like carrots or fruits, which can have too much sugar when juiced), and carrot and celery juice can make a good base for soups.

If you are concerned about the fiber, a Vitamix Juicer (there may be one or two other brands as well, but all are about the same price) can emulsify fruits and veggies to make 'whole foods' juices.
