does anyone use her tapes-especially for the abs

i went to her website joycevedral.com and it dosent look that tempting to try (she dosent seem like the typical instructor i work out to)

did anyone have any success with her ab tapes and if so did you get great abs, lost inches, or any other

I have some of her tapes. The older ones... what I don't like her newer tapes she seems to be going 100 miles an hour.

I do enjoy the older tapes, but Cathe is so much better.

One last thing.... I didn't if you get in her e-mail list, she will try to sell you everything under the sun.

I have one Joyce DVD, Definition, and one is enough. Her for is horrible, she flings the weights around and uses very bad form for squats, etc. There is no warm-up before the beginning stretch, and Joyce can be a bit hard to take. I do get out Definition once in a while because it's a different kind of pyramid workout: light weights, no rest, fast reps. I turn the volume down, put on my own music, and more-or-less follow along.

I'm not sure how effective her abs tapes are.

I started off with Joyce Vedral before I discovered Cathe. I used her Bottoms Up book and then bought the DVD for it. I liked her ab routine but really wouldnt recommend spending money on her tapes. I hurt my shoulder two or three times which I have never done since switching to Cathe. I think it was because she doesnt teach good form.

Hi all,

I must confess that I have several of her videos. I started out with Definition - pyramid system - low weights, fast and I was sore for a while. Then I purchased more - now they are now collecting dust. Yadira - right on with what you're saying. Joyce is defnately a threat - no form, flinging weights all over the place and too fast. She has an ab workout - 15 exercises that she does in three giant sets. It's too fast but a killer on your abs. And if you do get on her email list - she will try to sell, sell, sell you everything she has. She's taping new workouts, but I'm not buying - they are too expensive! She claims she does all her workouts with 10, 15 and 20 - but I doubt it! I can with my Cathe - but then Cathe is the best IMHO. She does have quite a few followers and I guess they like her workouts. Sorry if I didn't help - :(

Take care,

Iris

Joyce's books are more informative and better than her vids. Although her form is bad her workouts are very effective. I use good form taught by the Queen of Form Cathe! I wish Cathe would one day do a high rep/low weight workout similar to Joyce's. It would be the ultimate!
