I had a severe knee injury 2 years ago and also have had severe arthritis for decades. The ortho recommended I try glucosamine/chondrotin as a supplement. I had tried it years ago when dx with arthritis but didn't find it helpful, but agreed to try it again. I tried different brands and formulations. I don't think the glucosamine/chondrotin (G/C) is effective for me, but did notice some improvement with the formula that had MSM added. So I'm going to discontinue the G/C &
use MSM & see how that goes. I do eat an anti-inflammatory diet & take Omega3s, sometimes use turmeric, Boswellia, and I find this very helpful.
Just curious - what supplements do you take for joint issues? How effective do you think it is for you?
