Joint pain

Hey I'm knew here. I was just wondering if persons with joint pain should do certain exercises. I have really bad knees so squats and lounges hurt, should I continue doing them?

I just started having some joint pain in my knees. The pain isn't consistent so I wonder if I have some ligament issues going on. Every now and then while doing squats or lunges I'll get a sharp stinging pain and then it goes away. I just purchased Move-Free supplement (gluco/chondr/msm), hoping it works. I don't want to cut back or have to stop the workouts I'm doing....I've had such success and feeling great. I didn't really answer your question but more responses will be wonderful to see what others are doing!:7

Hi Jhodyann! Check with your doctor to see what he says about your knees. There are various exercises that are fine for some knee issues and not for others. So hopefully he can have a look at you and give you an idea of what you should be staying away from.

I personally feel that if an exercise hurts, don't do it. It hurts for a reason and you need to address the reason before you can find exercise substitutions.

I know thats probably not what you wanted to hear but better safe than sorry, right?
