jello abs/sore back/PMS

I was wondering if anyone else experiences this - when I am in the PMS zone - I feel like my abs have turned to total mush. Normally I do core workouts 2-3 times a week and have been for years, so my abs are in ok shape. But when I get to this time of the month, when I try to just hold my stomach in, it feels like there is no response at all! The muscles have turned to jello. This feels SO weird! Also my back hurts. This morning in this state I was trying to do a core max segment and quit after 5 minutes. It was just impossible! Anyway I had to laugh but at the same time it is really frustrating. All I can do is stretch, which helps the back aspect. And it doesn't affect cardio really. Luckily it goes away in a few days. Anyone else get this?

Jello abs?? No I don't get those. Although my abs still look a little jello-y. I'm working on that!!! I do get the back thing, though. I get cramps in my back. Feels like someone kicked a vertebrae out. I never had cramps in my back, or really at all, until I got an IUD. Small price to pay though, for around the clock baby protection. I've had it for maybe 5 years, so I don't see the cramps going away. But the abdominal work during that time really seems to help me w/ the cramping. I don't if it loosens everything up or I'm just so busy paying attention to what I'm doing that I don't notice, or if its just the endorphins kicking in. I guess you just have to wait it out??
