Jay Robbs Protein Powder

I'm getting ready to order this and I'd like a "quickie" post-workout shake recipe! (could've used this last night after BM2)!!!x( Thanks in advance!

Tina,

I use 1/4 cup plus 1 Tlb. of whey protein with one fruit like banana, 1 and 1/2 orange or 1 mango...(use your imagination) with 1 cup of water. It's great and it feeds your muscles wonderfully. Also this curbs your appetite for the rest of the day.

Take care,

Janie

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

I don't know the difference in whole but if you go to www.jayrobb.com you can click on more info for each product. He has soy protein also. Looks like whey protein is from a cow/bovine, egg white is egg white albumen, I didn't look up the soy. Hope this helps a little until somebody who knows responds!:7

I LOVE Jay Robbs Protein Powder, Vanilla.

My favorite post-workout shake are:

3/4 cup low-fat milk
3/4 cup red grape juice
1/2 to 1 cup frozen raspberries
1 scoop Protein Powder = approx. 3 Tbsp

1.25 cups blood orange juice (regular orange juice works too)
1/4 cup of kefir (or low-fat yogurt)
1 cup of frozen mixed tropical fruit (pineapple, papaya, mango)
1 scoop Protein Powder

1/2 cup soy jogurt
1 cup orange juice
2 tsp maple syrup
1 pinch kardamom
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch white ground pepper
1 scoop Protein Powder

1 cup mango (fresh or frozen - if fresh, add ice cubes)
2 Tbsp lime juice
1.25 cup unsweetened apple juice
2 tbsp coconut milk (unsweetened)
a little bit of fresh ginger
1 scoop Protein Powder

I use 1 sccop of Protein Powder (the scoop is supplied with the powder) but you can use more, if your protein requirements are different.

I use a different brand, but I LOVE a cup of soy milk, scoop of vanilla powder, sliced up frozen banana and a tbsp of PB. YUM!:9

In general the whey protein has a higher absorbable protein content than egg white. However, a lot of people are sensitive or allergic to whey and therefore prefer egg or soy protein.

I have all 3 of them, whey, egg and soy. I like to vary them. Jay Robb's egg protein tastes delicious, when used in shakes it tastes a little less "powdery" than the whey.

Hope that helps

Carola
