Jari Love for 3 weeks?

I LOVE Cathe. It makes me sad to do 3 weeks of Jari Love but I have to change something to see some results. I thought may be doing 3 weeks of cardio and ripped. I am not crazy about hearing Jari talk, but the high rep will make a change from my usual workouts. I would love to lose weight and have some definition and I remember when I started dvd workouts, I started with Jari and had great results. I feel that heavy lifting doesn't work for me.
has anyone seen results with ripped workouts and Cathe cardio?

What Jari's do you have? I too am interested in doing this. Let me know what you come up with as far as a rotation.
 
I LOVE Cathe too, but sometimes I take a break to give my body variety. Plus it makes me love Cathe strength training all the more when I go back to her strength training videos!

I'm currently in Week 3 of the *mostly* Jari rotation I put together. I'm not looking to lose weight, so I can't comment on that, but I have maintained all my muscle tone and even had some DOMs with this rotation. :D My cardio is usually 45-60 mins, and will be either a run, a spinning class, or a cardio DVD (step, kickboxing--whatever matches my mood!). I do try to make sure to do at least 1 HiiT or Imax-style cardio per week.

Also, although it's not listed, on days I do Jari's videos I have been tacking on additional ab work (usually a Cathe ab segment) b/c her videos are lacking in that department!

You can also try doing Cathe's more endurance type workouts...i.e. Muscle Endurance. I tried Jari and she just didn't click with me. However, it seems like you tried and liked her previously, so doesn't sound like that will be an issue for you. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I would say Power Hour and Leaner Legs would both be good as add-ins to a Jari Rotation. Particularly LL as Jari's stuff is not too leg focussed. Those and ME as mentioned above.

Extremely Ripped, Extremely Ripped 1000 & Get Ripped 1000 are definitely more leg focused. R&C is mostly upper body. I agree that Jari's workouts are great for leaning out & improving definition. :)

Hey Darine!

Just my two cents here. I ended up taking about a month off from my Cathe workouts to workout with other instructors. I went back to Cathe about two weeks ago and came back with intense gusto and verve!! I didn't quit my Cathe workouts entirely, just did more of other instructors as my primary workouts. I looked at it like spending sooo much time with my best friend and just needing a break from them.... now I'm back with my best workout friend, Cathe!! Still mixing it up with Chalene TF & Shauny-baby in Insanity!

I am not doing an official rotation right now but am gearing up for Insanity after an extended break from high-impact cardio. Reading this thread is making me want to do Jari now. So many work outs, so little time! :eek:

I did a month long Jari rotation - and after a few weeks my shoulder (rotator cuff) started to hurt during certain moves. The high reps were a bit too much for it.

Hello. Ii was wondering what you decided too do. If you did Jari did it help with. Losing weight this time?
