Good morning,
Things look a little confusing this morning. There's this check-in, which appears to initially have started as the January Rotation check-in, and then there's another January Rotation check-in. Can this one be turned into the All-Purpose Daily Check-in?
This morning I did Cardio & Weights, followed by SH Back. The progesterone is definitely doing its job, because I am wupped, and CW felt like a whole other workout. I finished it, but am thinking I may need to start giving my body more than 24 hours rest between cardio workouts. Getting only 6 hours sleep when I need closer to 9 hours didn't help.
Wendymin72 - did you try SF's stretch segment? Was it closer to what you're looking for? I've got a Yoga for Pregnancy book that I bought last summer. I haven't tried it yet, but there is a lot of information in it, too, about pregnancy in general, and how yoga can help with certain problems. Obviously the poses and stretches should be safe for pregnancy. That is such a shame that you hurt your back doing yoga; it's my favourite way of making my back feel better after a hard workout. I hope I am as fortunate as you and the nausea/food aversions remain at bay. So far, so good, but it's still really early days. My sense of smell is heightened, but at least it's not making me feel sick. Regarding Target, Canada could use an all-purpose store that actually sells a good line of athletic equipment/accessories. It's so difficult to find stuff here, unless you're willing to pay double the amount in either a high-end specialty store, or online from an American retailer. And you just threw on Step & Intervals, huh? Geez, good work!! That's an intense little workout. SI and AS are my two favourite cardios from CTX. Put them together, and you've got a great one-hour workout that is similar to SB, I think.
Wendybdh - thank you for your reassuring words that we are not unfit parents. Peter survived his hockey game with Chantael's father last night, so I guess they aren't upset with us

Yes, I intend to do the leg portion of the weight workouts, but will probably go lighter than I typically do. My lower back is just exhausted these days, so I'm trying to be nice to it. I'm not sure yet, but I think I might take a week in-between the CTX and PS Series to do the Pyramids, and either ME, PH, or SS. I don't like to go more than 2 weeks without doing PUB; I love that workout. Jeepers, by then it's even conceivable that I might have Muscle Max and the Gym workouts in my hands, and I can add them, too! How exciting!!
Michelle - Stepford Wives is worth the rental fee, is it? I'll make a note of that for the weekend, thanks! If you like something a bit off-kilter, different, yet very sweet and interesting (and a bit dark), "Garden State" is really good. I'm with you in having to always clean up toys before starting a workout (grrrr).
Laurie Mac - I initially wanted to ask you whether Duluth has a large Dutch population, then I thought, "Well, that makes about as much sense as assuming Lebanese women are lesbians." So, I will refrain. I know Sandy will appreciate that

(Just to clarify: she's from Lebanese decent; not a lesbian).
Jes - now really, who do you expect these people to believe? The crazy Jes who forgets to wash out her perm and ends up bald for 4 years, or the sane, sensible Sandra who strives to be a stellar role model for her family and her community? Hmmmmmmm? Is it very likely that I would make things up? I think not. You just don't want Wendybdh to feel bad, so I can respect that you don't wish to reveal your "news" until she's able to do so, too. Hey, when your hair grew back, was it any different than before? (I'm laughing my butt off here, because you're the only person I know who I've ever had to start a sentance with "When your hair grew back......" Hilarious, I say!). I'm still searching for your post regarding a need to go to Sears. What's up?
Sandy - How are you feeling today? Did you do the yoga yesterday? In case you didn't, then you can rest assured that I did it for you. Your comment reminded me that I had these dvds in the back of my video drawer, and that the second session on the power dvd was a great one for a tired and tight back. So, I dusted it off and did both sessions. And you're right. The plank work is like a walk in the park after training with Cathe. The planks-into-downward-dog felt great on my back. Do you think Alan and the other woman in his workout are more than friends? Hmmmm? Something's up between them, I'm thinking. But that same woman also seems to get all blushy in the second workout, with that other woman, so maybe it's just one big love-in cult at the Yogazone training school? I am obviously sleep deprived because I'm saying way too much.
Katie - I hope the antibiotics have kicked in and her fever is down. If you're lucky, she'll sleep a lot today and you'll get a chance to get in a really good workout.
Glogal - that is pretty amazing that you did so well your first time through IMAX! I have to admit that I'm glad I had to abandon Cathe's January rotation so I won't have to do that this week

The second week of that rotation is more intense than the first! This week really challenges the lower body, which will really burn those calories, so I guess it's a good thing, hey?
Susan! Thank you for doing that Timesaver Workout! Please tell me - how does it compare to Legs & Glutes? It seems to me that it would be harder, because it has the SJP barbell squats (and lunges?) in it. Is that the case, or is it easier (or about the same)?
Everyone else - great workouts today! You guys keep me inspired to try new things, and push myself to new limits. Thanks!!
Sandra
