Thought I'd start a new thread this morning. My back is doing ok. Still a bit tweaky, but I think I will be able to do upper body this evening. We'll see how it goes.

Linda, did you have a good weekend?

I was excited to see the blog update. And not suprised at the possible release around Christmas.

Catherine - Glad your back is feeling better. I am lucky that so far that's one part of my body that hasn't given me trouble. This morning while doing BW forward Lunges during the warmup I developed a pain in my rigth glute. Fortunately it didn't bother me during the rest of the workout, but have no idea what that is about?
 
WHEW!! I am pooped. BM2 DBL UB premix (minus abs) plus IMAX2 intervals 1-5. I forget that when I am lifting heavier on certain exercises that I can not keep up with the rep count that Cathe is doing :confused: I was like how is she doing that. Duh you are lifting a couple of pounds heavier :cool: Of course shoulders are always a different story :( Maybe one day,.....

So Linda, I 've been meaning to ask how's the PT buisness going????
 
Catherine - Nice workout! Yeah with heavier weights it sure would be hard to keep pace with Cathe.
At this point, the PT business is not going. I have had a couple inquiries but have not got a client yet. Completely, my fault, well actually DH. I wrote this whole business policy and philosophy package for clients and DH is still editing. So as soon as that is firmed up I will finally have prices and info for prospects.:rolleyes:
 
Linda, I can not imagine all the work it takes to get up and going. I am sure you will do great!!

I am planning 4ds KB with legs first. Crossing my fingers that my back cooperates.
 
I am still here at work and I am thinking that my back is not quite ready for a lower body w/o. So I may do cardio only. Or I may just take a rest. I'll see when I get home.

Just returned from the funeral so I am feeling pretty drained. It was a beautiful service though. My cousin was very involved in the Fire Company and at the cemetary after the minister spoke they came over the Fire Truck radio saying "Robert A. Haugen Sr. has answered his last alarm". There wasn't a dry eye to be found anywhere.

Anyway this morning was Amy's ASC 3. I wanted to do it all the way thru, but kids got up and interrupted me, so I finish through # & 4 combined then jumped to the power ups. That was the first time I tried those. Thanks to DianeSue I knew enough to lower my step for the jumps!
 
Hi Ladies!

I know it's been a long time since I've posted. Been getting myself situated in our new home. Finally got a job a few weeks ago (it was a long 4 months!) Had to spend time on the internet looking for work rather than lurking on all the fitness forums.

This month I've been doing a barre/kickboxing/yoga rotation supplemented with chinups. I can proudly say I'm now up to 3 chins in a row! Doesn't sound like much, but a major accomplishment for me. I've pretty much been chinnin' every day and it definitely makes a difference. Yesterday I did 1, then a set of 3 when I came home from work and then another set of 2.

Today was 2. Next month I will go back to a heavy rotation - probably 2 weeks of S&H and 2 weeks of P90X. I did Amy's Hi/Lo Cardio Knockout today. My cardio endurance still isn't that great. Got through warmup and 1st combo and knockout. Then I started modifying here and there. The weighted core section was good. She did a balance move and also a modified turkish getup with a side plank.

Linda - Sorry to hear about your cousin. Good luck with your new business. Did you like ASC3? I have 1 and 2 and like them both although since I have too many workouts, I don't get to do them as much as I'd like.

Catherine - That was quite an intense workout this morning. I agree with Linda - you do seem to have a lot of time on your hands today. It's funny - now that I'm working, I actually have more time on the boards again.

I'll try and check in more often again now.

Linda, (((HUGS))) funerals for the young are always difficult. Glad it was a good service.

Marcy :eek::eek: glad you see you(well, you know what I mean)!! Wow, you've made some great progress!! Good job!! I hope you can make it back to check in with us!! Briee has not been here on the new forums. Joanne's still stops by periodically. She's hanging outdoors whenever she can!!

I came home and did 4DS double cardio and enjoyed it. I jus wasn't gonna push my back today. I have a deep tissue massage sched for Friday and I will delay any leg work until after that.

My upper body is fried from yesterday!!

Oh and my posting-ha ha!! Ame (AmyG) is trying to catch my post count (she's probably reading this). I am trying not to let her :eek:
 
I can not believe how tired I am today. I am exhausted. Sorry to whine, but I am not even sure if I will w/o this evening. If my energy doesn't pick up I will not. My sleep was restless last night, but I didn't think I'd be this tired :confused:

So what's everyone else up to today. Maybe I can live vicariously through you all :p

10/10/10 - 8's ***tried 10's, no pain but a lot of clicking so dropped to 8's, but that is still up 2#***

8/8/8 - 40's ***Again that's up 4# each and NO pain!:D:D:D!***

DB Tricep lying Extensions
8/8/8 - 20's **this is the same the left arm is still lagging:eek::(***
Alt. Incline DB Curls
8/8/8 - 25's **up 1# each, didn't think I'd make it, but did all the way to the last rep for the left arm, right arm had to help then.:eek:***

Ran wind sprints for six rounds then did combos 1 & 2 from ASC 1.

Linda, awesome w/o!! I am glad to hear that your shoulder cooperated. Oh and sometimes on my last rep of biceps my left gets a little push from my right ;)

I am finally waking up. Delayed onset of coffee I guess :confused: Haven't decided if I will w/o or not. Will see how I feel when I get home!
 
Good Afternoon Chinsters!

Today was Pure Barre (a pure killer!) My legs quiver every time I do this workout although not as bad as the first time. I feel a burn when I do Cathe, but my legs have never shook with her. I like to go heavy for upper but barre workouts are better for my bottom half. I also did 1 set of 2 chins and 1 set of 3 chins.

Catherine - Thanks! I think doing them every day is what's helping. I also feel a lot stronger in my core which is making a difference as well. Thanks for the update on everyone. Glad to see you're perking up.

Linda - Great workout! I'll have to put ASC on my wish list. From what I hear, ASC3 is a little easier than ASC2.

Marcy, I agree that core strength improves chinups. Pure Barre sounds like one heck of a workout. Nice job on the chins!!

I am hoping to do chinups tomorrow. Cross your fingers :eek:
 
Wow, what a difference a day makes!! I feel so much better today. Yesterday, I was just zapped of all energy. I am hoping to w/o this evening!!!
