OK, Melty Maidens. I have arrived. You can all breathe a sigh of relief in the delight of my presence. Or not. Whatever.
As you can tell, I am in rare form today. Did my errands (just stuff I could do walking around the village) and did 4DS HIS (LOVE IT) and did laundry and opened a big box of gifts for Ewan from my in-laws. I also did really important stuff like setting Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir” as my ring tone on the new phone.
I gained 3 lbs this week. 3 lbs! WTH!?!? Yeah, I suck. I’m going to be at my fattest non-pregnant weight for the RT. So despicable.

And this may sound silly, but I’m afraid people who read my blog (there are random people out there who do) and who will attend the RT will wonder what right I have to be writing a fitness blog. I mean, I don’t generally claim to actually be fit, just to enjoy working on it, but I still think some people will go, “That’s the Fitness Fig!? What a fat beast!”
![Eek! ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Is that silly? At least you Melty August RTers will be prepared now.
Deb, nope, no shopping today. My errands were post office and library kind of stuff. I did do some shopping last night, though…on Kohls and Nike.com. More stuff for the RT so I hope it arrives in time!
Shelley, ***sigh*** wish I could gtg with you guys, too.
Peggie, I’m trying not to think about a sale on AOS Newport. Must resist. Must resist.
Robin, it was nice to know this morning that you were planning the same workout as I was, though I was still only on 4” and not matching Cathe in weights (but close on the back stuff, at least). My weekend was pretty great, except for the times I had to sit around with Ewan while Brian and Isaac hiked higher or went canoeing—Ewan just couldn’t do as much so I had to entertain him.
Shannon, glad things are “interesting” and busy. Hope today is going well.
Leanne, yowza, an earthquake? Feeling steadier now? I’ve only been in one (a little 4.0 in Missouri) and it was shocking enough. I can’t imagine how scary they are out there in Cali.
Allison, ((((HUGS)))) chica. I’m sorry you feel so puny and down in the dumps!
Tneah, ugh, that is disheartening news about the new exercise recommendations. That sucks for those of us fatties who already feel like we’re working so hard to lose weight. I do about an hour of exercise 4-6 days a week (I’m rather inconsistent) so that is probably part of my problem (though mainly I have food issues). I hope you got the guest out of your gym!
Kath, hello & welcome!
Kara, when do your kids start back to school? Mine don’t go back until after Labor Day here.
