Is this equipment okay to use?

Hello to Cathe (great teacher : )) or anyone. I was looking at the section that says equipment needed for some of the DVDs and it says barbell. Is it okay to use a body bar instead? If you read this Cathe thank you so very much for all you do for us. You have such a talent for this and are certainly in the right profession. Have a great weekend!

THANKS : )

Weighted body bar would be the same IMO.
Cathe must be buisy, so i will chime an opinion.
When you get into the heavier ones they get rather expensive..
Weight is weight. I have looked into them so i wouldn't have to change up weights at times , but the 37 # one was like $65 plus shipping.Weight is weight. If you have them use them.

Thanks so much for getting back with me. Maybe Cathe is on a well deserved vacation. GOOD FOR HER : ) Have a great weekend!

Hi Velmakelley! It really depends onthe exercise. When I use a barbell I am always changing the weight to accomodate the exercise. Body bars are a fixed weight so they will be fine for some exercises, yet too heavy or too light for others. I think eventually you will want to have a weight-adjustable barbell to get maximum benefits from your workouts. Hey, I have an idea....maybe you can put this on your holiday gift list :7

Thank you so very much for taking the time to reply to my question. I am certainly going to put that on the XMAS list. Great idea. I look forward to the new videos. Right now I love to do IMAX 3 (just 35 minutes) it is fun and the music along with your great teaching makes me want to come home from work and do it (which is saying ALOT) Thanks so much take care!
