Is KPC Safe for a Relative Kickboxing Novice?

The only kickboxing I've ever done is what's in Bootcamp and Cardio & Weights. I've previewed KPC a couple of times, paying close attention to Cathe's form pointers and practicing the moves at the beginning of the workout. I can hang in there quite well with the Imaxes and Bootcamp, so intensity is not a problem for me.

My questions are, since I've done relatively little kickboxing, is this DVD too advanced (i.e., unsafe?) for me? Would I be better off starting out with a different kickboxing video? Can I safely work up to doing the moves as executed on the video?

Thanks for any insight! This looks like a great workout and I'm anxious to try it, but I've heard about the importance of form and don't want to injure myself.

I think it's perfectly safe. Cathe is at her usual best with cueing and form pointers, and the workout is easily modified. She even says at the beginning that the workout's purpose is not to improve your fighting skills. You will love it!!

I also have no kickboxing background except with Cathe's workouts. I've done KPC twice so far with no problems. My form may not look as good as Cathe and crew, but I've had no injuries or strains. I don't try to kick overly high, I just let my body do what feels natural. I think you should jump in and do it.
