Her cuing (or lack of!) sometimes drives me nuts! ("punch" is either any punch or a cross! The 'punch series" isn't cued at all! And sorry, but I don't want to have to view the tutorial, and remember from that what the four-punch sequence--which is not a typical one-is!). But her choreo is fairly simple, and it's not too hard to 'follow the lead' (ie: do as she does, and not as she says !). If it weren't such a good workout, I wouldn't give her as much slack, LOL!
In the 30-miinute workout DVD (I usually do the premix that combines both workouts), I find that the pace of the moves is good for allowing strong punching (the "if someone were in front of me, I'd actually do some harm to them" kind that I like, and that works the muscles well). She also does a lot of rotational moves that hit the core (what she calls the 'waistline'. Shades of the 1950's-1960's!

).
Another good KB workout, IMO is Chalene Johnson's "Kick, Punch and Jam" (or "Punch, Kick and Jam"?). It's one of the few more 'athletic' Turbo Jams (I couldn't take the more 'dancy' ones : too much 'booty shaking' for my tastes in a KB-oriented workkout. There's only one "booty shaking" move in PKJ, and it's an 'optional' one in the warm-up. I can handle that! Especially after getting to 'know' Chalene through CLX, which I am LOVING!). Very energetic.
Her form on uppercuts is bizarre, and I don't follow it (I go along with the actual black belt guy who is unfortunately in the back row!), and there is one move that doesn't flow quite right and that she doesn't cue well* IMO: going from facing side to facing front--which can put some torque on the knee. I just keep it at a diagonal and it works out fine.
*I hate it when instructors, when a change of direction is coming that may be a bit torquey, don't give a heads-up about it, like cuing to 'be ready to face forward' or 'take a big step back to be able to change direction' or something like that--but probably less wordy!--when they DO it themselves (because they know what is coming), and to have the move be safe, it should be done.
