Another question for you.BESIDES for wanting to ditch DH the other day b/c he was getting on my nerves.....
....does anyone have friends that they get along with TOTALLY? Not one thing bothers you about them? Do you ever need any space from them????? Sometimes I wonder if it just me or do we need alittle room? Over the last couple of years I have made alot of new friends.I spend a fair amount of time with them in the beginning but after a while I almost feel like they are getting to close.Or something annoys me and I need a break!
The lady a run with calls me off and on.And we will take a couple of road trips together and so on.But there are days when I don't want to run or I don't want to talk. Its like I expect people to know what kind of mood I am in.I feel like telling people I WILL CALL YOU! But thats being a B&^%H.
Anyway, she came over on Sat night when we were parting. She got drunk fast.We were playing a drinking game with a hat and everytime she got to give drinks away she gave them to me...and everytime she got to give the hat away she gave it to me...and having the hat is not a good thing! Then everytime I drank a drink, she would be yelling more, drink more...another one!! And I was thinking, what kind of friend is this? I would never pick on my friends like this.I don't like drinking much so this was a real pain.
I then need a break from her and the game so I go upstairs where my other friend is to and she isn't drunk either. We had some piece and quiet for a little while but then the other girl makes her way up stairs. She starts talking non stop and not in her normal voice. She as this high pitched voice and it doesn't let up.After a while my other friend leaves b/c she can't handle it anymore.
I haven't been talking to her since then b/c I need some space.
She just called and I didn't answer the phone b/c I don't have time to talk right now...and basically...I love my computer time in the morning. Then I hear the door open upstairs and the only person it could be is her.I take off into the laundry room and start folding clothes. This is a good place to be so that I can say I didn't hear the pohone ringing.I stay in there for as long as it takes for me to fold towels and when I come out whoever it is is gone.
If I didn't answer the phone,I am obviously not home or busy
so why are you stoping by?
She is also one of those nagging people. When I say I am not doing something, then don't pester me.No means no in my books.I am not going to change my mind so give it a rest. But she will keep it up until I give it.Even when my knee was bad last summer and I couldn't run she would call me everyday to see if i was going.HELLO...I am in pain! And she knew this but she would still call and nag.
Don't get me wrong. She is not like this ALL of the time and she is normally very tolerable but there are days when I just don't want to see her comming or calling.
SOOOOOOOOOOO, my question to you folks is...IS this just me? Does EVERYONE have friends who you need a break from? Do you take the good with the bad??? Do you just shut up? Or do you wait until you both have a had a few drinks and you can tell her to stop! She'll probably get the hint then.
