I must confess, when I first became a forum member I had no flippin idea what a rotation was. And rather than appear stupid & ask, I just waited til I figured it out.

I still consider my routine, well, a routine. I've always called it that & regardless of how often it changes, it'll always be my routine.

I guess the difference between a rotation & a routine is, you do a rotation for a set, limited amount of time, but a routine is something you'll do indefinitely? I guess I'm still not entirely certain why a rotation as opposed to a routine.

Anyway, just for fun, what do you call your workouts?

I actually had to ask...smile. I didn't do a rotation for a long time...I used to do a routine...every day was a set day. I didn't learn about veriety until I found a group on yahoo that introduced me to Cathe.

Rotations make getting my workout done easier...i'd be standing infront of my workout collection for hours trying to make up my mind...smile.

I didn't vote because I'm too moody to have a rotation or a routine. I just do what I feel like when I feel like it. Weird, I know.

I can never stick to a routine or rotation and therefore I could not vote for either one because I don't really know which is which. I guess it could be both. If I did use the term, I would probably use "Rotation" because that is what I hear mentioned most often on this form.

Rotation:

  1. Regular and uniform variation in a sequence or series
  2. Regularly recurring succession, as of officials.

Routine:

  1. A customary or regular course of procedure.
  2. Regular, unvarying, habitual, unimaginative, or rote procedure.
I think I like what Ninjamom says "I usually rotate my workouts within my routine"
