Is anyone else having trouble

getting back into their normal fitness routine after the road trip? I don't know about the rest of you, but I trained so hard before the event, & the weekend itself was so high energy, that I haven't even worked out since I got home. I'm heading to the gym tonight but even the thought of cardio makes me want to take a nap. :-(

I need something to get me back on track, & I don't want it to be an extra 10 lbs LOL.

Not me. Monday night I did Kickmax Bootcamp Challenge and last night I did my new GS BSB and Coremax #2.:D Tonight is Imax 3 and tomorrow I'm Bootcamping with the rest of the Bootcamp challenge chicks.

I'm with ya, Laura...I just worked out for the first time this morning since being back...I was SORE...those 3 classes on Saturday wiped me out! Shelley, you're amazing, girl! LOL

Oh yeah, I developed this sore throat, which I suspect is now a full-blown sinus infection, from the stress of travelling, the hours spent waiting in the plane for the chance to finally take off, the sleepless nights, and whatever was in the NJ air that really aggravated my allergies. So I'm not working out for the rest of the week.:(

Shelley, you go girl!:)

Same here. I have not worked out since I got home. I need to get motivated but I am still tired and cannot snap out of it. Is this normal when flying?

I didn't really want to workout Monday but I did... and I've been back in the swing ever since. Yesterday I did the 90 minute cardio combo from SJP/SB and today I'm doing GS Chest/Tris and IMAX3.

Hi L
I too am having difficulty.Last night I started HC Chest & Triceps & I couldn't complete the drop set push ups so I went for a run instead.I think I am still tired from the weekend.
Take care
Chris

I'm feeling the same way. I'm tired and a bit under the weather too. I pushed myself into a non-Cathe tape last night, but only did one hour.

I'm ordering a high step tonight. When it arrives that'll fire me up again. That and some extra sleep! :D

Well i'm glad to see i'm not alone! I haven't worked out since being back either. I had a softball game monday night, and that about killed me. I'm going to *try* to force myself to workout this evening...

Well, Monday was a much-needed rest day for me. Then on Tuesday I got right back into it - did HSC on Tuesday, and IMAX2 this morning, and Bootcamp is on the schedule for tomorrow. I'm still tired from traveling, so I'm not working at my peak level, but I just don't feel right without a morning Cathe workout to start off my day. :)

Shelley, I feel like I had a workout just reading your post!!!! Ah to have a young body again...
I hit the workout room yesterday - cardio & UB from CTX, & lots of stretching... It was hard to do it by myself, but with Cathe & the gang on TV, I just added you all in my mind & enjoyed your virtual energy!

Today was my first workout since the strength class Saturday:eek: (i skipped Kickbox and high step)I did HSC and L/G flor work. It felt good to get back into it, but i really needed those days off. i was really tired and it felt good to rest. It must have been a good rest because today i did all the push ups in HSC and that never happens! i tried bouncing on my stability ball after finishing abs, but it just wasn't he same without all the rest of you doing it too:-( THis weekend reminded me how much i love live classes.

Have some lobster suace and you will feel very energized and get back to your workouts!

:p

Yes, I remember the 40's & most of the 1st half of the 50's fondly... Keep up the good work & Limecat will be hailing you!!

I haven't worked out since Sunday either. But this morning I pulled out all of my exercise equipment and am determined to do GS CT as soon as I get home. I can't seem to shake the car lag. :)

No trouble at all. Because I :DLOVE:D GSC&T so much and I missed it during the trip, I promised Cathe that would be the first thing I do Monday a.m. I also did ?? 1/2 hr. of Low Max. Tues. a.m. was most of Low Max & 3 sets ea. of 16 hamstring curls, squats and leg ext. This morning was Power Circuit :D

Hey I'm right with you! I did nothing Monday, then did weight training Tuesday (moderate intensity). This morning the Kickmax challenge (plus more interval training) wiped me out. I feel like I'm running on empty! Maybe just Stretchmax and some abs tomorrow?
I think we're all suffering "Letdown from our Cathe High". We'll get through it. Good Luck!

Laura-
Your post reminded me of post-race articles I've read. I didn't go to the road trip, but it sounds like Cathe and everyone kept you BUSY!!
Basically, what the articles all say is that the races (marathon on down) can take a bit out of you, so don't worry and get back to it when you feel like it. I think one said at least one day for each mile, so a half marathon could take you 2 weeks to get back to the desire to run.
Anyway, I'm sure you wouldn't want to trade your experiences for anything, so enjoy the adventure you went on and give yourself a bit of a break. Good luck!
