I love Bridget as well, especially the books. You might want to check your local theaters, because I think they opened it a week early due to good reviews. There was an article in USA Today about it yesterday (still on their web site).

RE: Is anyone a

Sorry - I thought the first one was a major snoozer. I guess I'm not really into your typical "chick-flick" movies. As my nephew tells me, I'm more like a guy. I prefer science fiction and Spiderman.

On the subject of movies - went yesterday to see The Incredibles. It was GREAT!

I saw Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason at the first show here in Atlanta Friday -- I loved it. My stomach hurt from laughing so much. If you loved the first, of course you'll love the second! Cheers!

RE: Is anyone a

Hi Jes,

I just saw it last night and I absolutely loved it!!! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it as much as the first because sequels generally aren't that great but my friends and I liked it even better than the first. I think if you loved the first you are really going to love the sequel. I laughed so much I walked out of the theater with sore ribs! I won't say anymore;-)! Let us know what you think when you go see it next week!!

Take care,

i saw it friday.. LOVED it! it opened limited this weekend and will open wide next weekend!

if you are a BJ fan... GO SEE IT!

RE: Is anyone a

I have to say i saw it last week (UK) and didn't think much of it. I thought it was no where near as funny as the first one. And it just makes me laugh that she can say she's fat. She isn't fat. Normal i think, not fat. I think she was bigger in the first one than the second. Colin Firth is still as lovely! If you like him...you'll love "Love Actually". Now that made me cry!

RE: Is anyone a

There were seven of us that went to see it Saturday night and we all LOVED it. We laughed our heads off. She is too cute in it and Colin Firth does an excellent job too. Definitely worth seeing. Let us know what you think. (Go see Shall We Dance if you haven't. Another great one!)

I saw it Saturday night and LOVED it. Colin Firth, Hugh Grant - what more could you really want in a film? ;-)

I also liked Helen Fielding's other book, "olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination." (or something very close).

The "Shopaholic" series is also fun.

RE: Is anyone a

If you love Bridget Jones, try Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, the book, and the movie (with Olivier as D'Arcy) or the PBS series--5 delicious hours, and Colin Firth as D'Arcy, a brooding hero.

RE: Is anyone a

Wayne:

I agree with you: Colin Firth is to die for.

But "Love Actually" was a total pile of bo**ocks!!!! The cheese factor was way off the charts!!!!!!!!!!!! I can see you are a sucker for romance......;-)

RE: Is anyone a

I have to agree about P&P. He's wonderful when he's quiet, brooding, and battling with himself not to love Lizzie. Very satisfying, that.

Hi,
I plan on seeing this movie over Thanksgiving break with my daughter. Her name is Bridget.

Sounds like it will be a good one.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
