Does anyone own this? I just bought it at Wal-mart and having trouble understanding how to install. THe safety wedge you are suppose install first, I don't understand and then how do you screw the bar into the wall? I'm at a loss. Can anyone please help that owns one? THanks, Lori

You don't screw it into the wall. It rests over the top of the door frame and on the moulding. Trust the picture/instructions that came with it. Then you'll see how it uses gravity to stay in place once assembled. :)

I live in a super old house. On the door frames theres no where that I can figure to put the safety wedge to hold the bar. I guess I might not be able to use it. I'm so disappointed,.

the safety wedge goes at the top of the frame on th opposite side of where the irongym will go. It goes where the wood is attached to the wall. Even very old homes should have this seam (although yours might be very covered by lots of coats of paint!)

Yes, I think mine is covered with paint. Do you hammer it in? This is a time when I wish I had a man around the house. lol

I got an Iron Gym for Christmas, and I can't use it for pull-ups. My older home's moldings are too wide. Very bummed!

I almost got the perfect pull up bar for inside you door frames and then saw the iron gym. I'll probably have to go back and exchange.

Yes, I used a hammer. I'd put the gym together to make sure it fits inside the moulding (if it is too wide, you won't be able to use it). It was a pretty easy install.

Thanks for your help Shani, I think my doors are too wide. I think I'm going to get the perfect pull up bar instead. Thanks again Lori
