IPOD/MP3 Question

Why is it that some songs won't download onto my Nike MP3?? I buy them from www.musicmatch.com and some I had back when Limewire was free. Anyway, when I add songs to my playlist and hit "send to portable" I get that error message that says something about how some songs aren't in the right format cuz they are protected or something. I am totally clueless. Why can't you just buy songs, pay your money, and download?? They seem to be .WAV format, the ones that won't download. I have paid for them. Anything I can do to make them download, like change formats or something????

Yes, you need to convert those files into MP3 format, most likely. Try that and let us know if you still are having trouble.

I know when I ws researching to buy my MP3, one of the criterion on the comparison chart was what types of files it could handle, so I'm guessing that might be the problem? Can you download to your computer and then convert the file to MP3? I'm really new to this, but I think my SIL had a problem with her IPOD accepting certain files or sites.

Sorry not more help, but it's still a 'new' thing for me, too, and I'm learning as I go!

There is a place I can go to "convert files" but I can't figure out how to get the songs in the box that I want to convert! AAArrrrggghhh!! I just hate this!! I'll play around a bit more and if I can't figure it out I am gonna get a new MP3 with all formats. The newer versions are much better, mine is kinda old and only holds 2 hours of music. Thanks all!
