Interval Max Support Group Check-In

Hey everyone!

Yesterday I did Interval Max with no modifications on a 6-inch step!! I can't believe I did it!

I just said to myself, "you are gonna do it no matter how much it makes you feel like you are going to keel over." And it worked! Okay, my plyo scissors on Interval 8 could have been a little deeper, BUT I didn't modify like usual. And, I look nothing like Cathe on those jump tucks or airborne jacks on Interval 10...but I did not modify to regular jacks!

How did everyone else do with IMax this week?

Hey Cruncholi!
I did IMAX this past week too. I used a 4" step, although I think I'll raise it to 6" for at least the warm-up next time. Still modifying a lot, but I kept moving through the whole thing. The tape I *have* seen a lot of improvement with is Step & Intervals. It's my current favorite, and I did it yesterday without modifying at all! Yippee!:-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy
Happy Mother's Day Everyone!

Hey All!

I wanted to share a discovery that I thought might help. I've noticed when I've attempted IM during the week at my normal workout time (after work, around 4:30pm) that I struggle with it more. If I do it on a Saturday or Sunday morning however, after about two cups of coffee first :), I have considerably more energy to put forth. I can still manage to get through it during the week, but I think being at work all day, stress, etc., has a tendency to leave me feeling a little less energetic for it. Yesterday morning I did IM on a 6" step with no modification, and since I wanted to do a little longer cardio workout since I had time, I tacked on the three intervals from CTX Step & Intervals behind it, and did just fine. Just wanted to share, in case anyone wanted to experiment with different times and days of doing Interval Max! I think we need all the help we can get with this workout!! :)

Nicole,
You tacked on more cardio after IMax??!!! Your my new hero!! I feel happy just to survive Imax at this point.

Have a great Mothers Day everyone--I started off the day by doing body max all the way thru for the first time--Hurray!!!!

I am going to LOVE this check in! :) It's just what I need to force myself to modify less and less!

I did "slightly" better with Imax this week, I'm going to have to write down the intervals so I'll be able to refer to them, but for this check in, I still had to modify on the tougher intervals (plyo-jacks, plyo-scissors and #10 in general!)

Congrats Cruncholi for completing Imax w/no modifications!!!!!!

I vow to one day be able to say the same thing! :)

Jayne .. you're TOO funny :p IMax has been my 'beast' for a long time!! Most times I tackle it .. but I still have moments where I'm foaming at the mouth during those plyo jacks because of the "fire in the thighs" .. :) Modifications or not, I'm still absolutely THRILLED when it's all done, and I can hide from it for another week!! :)

Hi,
I did IMax last Thursday. I really have to mentally prepare for that one. I did the whole work out! My jump tucks don't look anything like Cathe's either. Sometimes I have to keep saying "I'll do just one more interval" and then when done with the last one I feel so proud of myself.

P.S. I just love the music in the beginning of the warm up. It really gets me into it.
