It is funny you ask because the start of the trip was chaotic! I had it planned so my father would pick up my daughter after school. I knew my father was to have his esophagus stretched this day, but he reassured me he would be fine enough to pick up Lacey (daughter). Well, the day arrived to leave for Buffalo. I had it planned I would call my father before we left to find out how he was. I ended up going to the hospital where he had the procedure and asked him if he could pick up Lacey. He said, I am not supposed to drive for 24 hours. Now, I am really stuck, so we decided to get Lacey out of school early. We were really crunched for time and I did not need this! Come to find out later, my father said " I didn't want to say in front of the nurses I could pick up Lacey because they did not want me driving. Arghh! Anyway, we really didn't learn much from the consulting surgeon. He said DH did not need surgery, yippee! I said to DH, why did we have to drive soo far for him to tell us you did not need surgery. DH said, his primary doc wanted him to get into this surgeon so in case he needed surgery he would be established. I said to DH "I hope they are paying your mileage". He reassured me that compensation would pay for mileage. Thanks for asking!
