hey..ladies, I was just wondering what cathe series do you think is a better butt kicker the intensity series or the body blast...I've been saving my $$$ up for one..and not sure which one...I am in a holding pattern here and need to kick things up and notch to get the muscle development going...which one is more intense for muscle development..thanks for your help!!!

Hello,

I have both BB and Intensity sets. I love both sets. I find myself reaching for IMAX2, BootCamp, Cardio&Weights a lot; but I also love KP&C, StepBlast is a close second and SJP is also quite fun. Personally, I could not do without IMAX2. So I would go for the Intensity series, it also has great weight training videos. I dont like PP or SS as much as the pyramids and ME. I hope this helps.

Intensity is by far more challenging. If you want a butt-kicker, I'd choose the Intensity series. KPC and Legs and Glutes can be pretty tough too, but otherwise, I think the BodyBlast is less murderous than the Intensities.

If you really want muscle mass, then it's the Slow & Heavy series you want. But of the two series you are interested in, I think the Intensities are way better at muscle building and strength training than the Blast series. PUB and PLB have done great things for me to build strength and shape nice muscles. And the ME tape can shape them for you with its tough endurance style workout.

I love Step Blast as a fabulous and fun cardio workout, it's one of my fave Cathe's of all time, but I could live without Step Jump & Pump if I had to. Push/Pull is OK, but it really only builds muscle if you do two or even three sets of each exercise and really heavy up, which means repeating the video twice in one of the DVD premixes, or by hitting the rewind button. Supersets I have not tried, but it is more endurance oriented. I have not tried Legs & Glutes yet either because I love other Cathe lower body tapes a lot, like PLB and leaner Legs and PS legs, so I have not felt the need to try anything different yet. I haven't done KPC yet, but I will like it and do it a lot once I just try it, I'm a little scared of it to tell you the truth! But again it's a cardio thing, with some muscle endurance work thrown in due to the drills Cathe includes.

For muscle development, I would vvote Intenstities, PUB and PLB are just the thing: and S&H.

intensity series it is... I might get the slow and heavy at the same time ...thanks for your help.. 100.00 is a lot to spend and not get what your looking for..I think I'd at least like to get the kickboxing video out of bodyblast for fun...thanks again... your opinions are invaluable:D :D :D

Intensity series - no doubt. Everything is an hour or under and your body is totally worked from head to toe. The DVDs with their premixes are second to none. They were the first Cathe workouts I purchased and I use them the most.

I highly recommend them.
