Intense Moves with Gin Miller versus Intervalmax

Do you know if Interval Max is like the Intense Moves Video? I am talking about intensity and choreography since the brochure says Interval Max is easy to learn.

Intense Moves is very easy to learn. The choreography is very simple, even easier to catch on to than Interval Max (and Interval Max does qualify as easy-to-learn-choreography). I pretty much got all the steps my first time thru, if that tells you anything. The intensity level is high, and in my opinion can be as intense as Interval Max especially if you choose the "hardest" version of each interval. Gin shows you the basic move, then a harder version of it, then the HARDEST version, then tells you to choose your version and go for it for one minute. This video will definitely get your heart thumping. I really enjoy Intense Moves, it's a fun workout.

For me, the biggest difference between the two is that Interval Max gives you a true "rest period" between your aerobic/anaerobic phases, while Intense Moves doesn't - Gin just keeps you going. I think Interval Max's choreography is a little more complicated, but certainly easy to learn. Cathe uses a lot of moves from her previous tapes. I would say the intensity is about the same, although I know a lot of people find Interval Max harder. I love the music in Interval Max and also the warm-up.

They are both good, but Intense Moves is a little shorter. Imax is funner, I think! They are alike because they are both interval tapes, but Gin's rest periods are shorter, and she doesn't have as many intervals. I'd advise anyone to get both!!!

While they both have 10 intervals, I would say that IMAX is the harder of the two. Now I'm going to be the odd man out here because I enjoy Intense Moves more than I do IMAX. I like the fact the the tape is a little shorter, especially the warmup! And I like the stretch at the end. Coreography wise, Imax was more difficult for me to learn. They are compareable, in intensity. It will probably be just a matter of preference on which you enjoy more and which you find easier to learn. Hope this helps!!

Hey Aimee,
Can't have you being the odd man out all alone, so I'll chime in and tell you that I enjoy Intense Moves more than IMax too! I think the reason is that Intense Moves doesn't have the dread factor that IMAX does, and it's easier and less painful!

I think Interval Max is much harder than Intense moves. But i love Intense Moves and do it 1-2 times a month!

BTW is it true that Gin Miller is no longer making vidoes for us, just for aerobic instructors. -:(
