Inspiring quotes

i thought it would be neat to post the quotes that inspire and motivate. I have a new one from Lance Armstrong. He was commenting about his training practices.

"When it's pouring rain and you need to go out and ride in the mountains for six hours, there's no fun doing that. But that's what makes the difference".

I also like this one:

"Nothing tastes as good as lean and mean feels". I don't know the author of that one.

Have a great week everyone.

Hey Danna - Nice idea for a thread, there are so many ways to be inspired depending on what life is throwing at us but it's amazing how motivating/comforting the right quote can be at the right time.

Here's a few that I like:
- Sorrow shared is diminished, joy shared is increased!!

- Life can only be understood backward but must be lived forward.

- Speak your truth, even if your voice shakes.

My favourite is Desiderata, I have it framed and hung right by my kitchen sink so that I can ponder it while I work, every word of it touches me especially, "you are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars" - chokes me up every time.

On a silly note, my dear ol' Dad always had the perfect quote for any situation but when he had had enough of a debate he would point his index finger upward and say thoughtfully, "Ahhh, yes, but, No matter how high the eagle flies, you can always break a window with a hammer." It never failed to baffle and bewilder. That just cracks me up!! :7 God Bless Him!!!

"Money talks and it usually says goodbye." (any decent economist)

"Check the roll before you drop your pants. (Lennie Briscoe, "Law and Order")

"Pain is weakness leaving the body." (Navy S.E.A.L. motto)

"There's beauty in pain." (Marquis de Sade)

"Pain sucks." (A-Jock's husband)

"Don't f*** with a bald woman." (A-Jock)

OK I have two:

"I have no fear of fainting in the gym." Arnold Schwarzenegger, Muscle & Fitness 1995

"I voted Republican this year. The Democrats left a bad taste in my mouth." Monica Lewinsky

Hi All,

As a person who is always wanting to lose weight this phrase Dr. Phil said to someone on his show (not weight loss show) struck me. He said -

"I want you to put your feelings into action"

How many time do we feel tons of things and don't actually put things in action. I am guilty. Still am. I actually forgot about this phrase until this thread!
