I would love to become more organized! Just wondering if any of you busy ladies (and men) would be willing to share ideas that have helped you and your families function more efficiently? Do you follow strict schedules? As background, I'm a work-at-home Mom with a 3yo DS and a 4yo DD. I would love to have a neater, less stressful home. Thanks!

I don't have kids, yet...but I have a hard time picking up after myself which drives my DH crazy. There was an article in my local paper early this year that recommended some websites for organizing. The best one I think is www.flylady.net

There are tons of tips on there on how to create a more balanced house, including missions for 15 minute cleaning session around your house each day.

I also am a member of Fly Lady! Have both the dusters, and DH thinks I'm nuts (ok, that wasn't anything new!!!)!!

The only thing I don't do is "Dress To The Shoes"...We don't wear shoes in our house, and I like working from home in my jammies!!

I don't have children but my DH and I have very busy lives and I could stand to be more organized. We have tons of clutter and I have trouble figuring out what to do with it--what to keep, what to pitch. DH won't throw anything away and he gets upset with me because he thinks I'm to eager to get rid of stuff.

Just recently I was looking for a user manual for one of my appliances and became frustrated when an avalanche of booklets and manuals fell out of a cabinet onto my floor. It was a huge mess. I had booklets for things I didn't own anymore. I sorted through them and put them all together in a ring binder. I bought some multiple page sheet protectors and put a manual in each one. It worked out great and now all of my manuals are together in one place.:)
