Good Morning Y’All!!

MR is done and I feel worked, but not quite sure if I enjoyed how I got here

Becky - The only tip I have to guarantee getting your workout done is to do it in the wee hours of the morning before anyone else wakes up :p I do mine at 4:30 and consistently stick to that schedule even on the weekends. I love that surge of energy in the morning to carry me through the day. I am also militant about keeping on schedule - with a full time job out of the house and 2 DDs to keep on track (oh yeah, and DH) I kind of have to especially during the school year with homework, piano, dance & gymnastics. I also only go to the grocery store once a week, constantly keep lists going and plan meals. Sorry so longwinded

Brenda - I do better in workouts once I’ve done them several times. Many people seem to get bored of repeating workouts too often in a rotation, but I find that each time my form gets better and better and I can really feel the workout :D

Have a super day everyone!!

How Y'all Doin' ?
I just finished Max Plyo Interval and my legs are quivering. about 25 minutes into it during one of the water breaks I had to have quite the pep talk with myself to push through.
Now that it is complete I feel fantastic, as is always the case when I have moments like that. Now that that calorie burner is finished I can move on with the day: laundry, errands, a business meeting and then off to pick up my fabulous granddaughter from kindergarden and have some "nana time" with my favorite girl.

Enjoy the workouts everyone

Good Morning (okay I'm faking it :p),
No workout this morning. :( I woke up at 2:30 wide awake (yet tired at the same time - no I don't know how that can be possible but it was) I might have gotten a total of 3.5 hours of sleep all in short bursts. So I decided to just stay in bed instead of workout and at least try and rest.

I'll try and workout this evening if possible. I went for another walk with the neighbors last night. It was much cooler then the previous night so they picked up the pace. I found myself having to jog at times to keep up with these 5'7" gals (one of who is all legs). I unfortunately am shy of 5'2" and all torso. My little legs were going twice the speed of "leggy" in order to keep up and about 1.5 times the other gal. So it was a good hour long walk/jog.
So much for recovery week.

Becky, I find I usually need to work out first thing in the morning, otherwise by the time I get home from work, make dinner, eat and clean-up, I lose my motivation. We'll see if I have any luck tonight.

Brenda, What a great attitude. I try and do the same thing when I have an off day, but I'm not always successful, usually, but NOT always. I will give myself a break if I don't get a workout in today though. I'm still really tired.
WTG with the pep talk!! Enjoy your time with you're Granddaughter. She's at that fun age. I can say that because the DH and I don't have kids and I only have to deal with my nieces. I'm like an extra Grandma. I spoil them and send them home. :p

Hi Everyone!

Today's workout was CCB and CR along with GS Shoulders. I can't believe Month 1 is almost done.

Becky, if I don't workout first thing in the morning then I usually don't do it. Too many things come up at work or after work for me to guarantee a workout in the evening unless I want to do it really late.
Dawn, sorry about the insomia. I can understand your walking issue. My mom walks really fast and growing up I always had to walk or run to keep up. Of course, now I walk really fast too.
Brenda, great job on the pep talk to get through the workout. Enjoy your "nana time".
Jennifer, I am planning to do STS Meso 3 after Insanity to switch it up a bit. I don't think STS Cardio will be ready until Nov.
Sandra, I felt better after pushing through PCC (I usually do). I just need to keep giving myself pep talks. I definitely have a cold but I won't let it stop me.

I'll type quietly so as not to disturb anyone who's gone to bed. I can finally check in, because I've finally done my workout! I did it late afternoon today, then had to inhale a quick dinner before heading to the dentist for my annual cleaning and check up. My smile is nice and bright now, see? :D:D:D:D

I did Pure Cardio, STS Disc 24: Biceps, and Cardio Abs. In that order. That works well. I made it all the way through PC with only having to take breaks during the last exercise: the push up jacks. I only stopped long enough to swallow water a few times, for the rest of it. That's some major improvement since the first time I did it!

I'm keeping this short tonight. Someone asked about how to stay consistent. For me, like a few others have already said, doing it first thing in the morning works the best. A friend gave me a birthday card that says, "I like to exercise early in the morning....before my brain has time to figure out what I'm doing!" That pretty much sums it up. I've been an early morning exerciser for years, but I won't ever say that I'm a morning person. It's still a struggle to get up at 5am 6 days a week, and it's tough to get to bed early enough at night. When left to my own internal clock, I feel best sleeping from 11pm-7am. 9pm-5am just doesn't come naturally to me, but if I don't do it, then I don't get my workout in first thing, and it becomes a pain in the butt in my day, until I get it over with. Also, I look at it this way: I'm more likely to spend 9pm - 11pm watching tv or playing on the internet. If I shift those two hours of being awake to 5am-7am, I'm using those hours to exercise. So, I'm using the same two hours productively, instead of vegging in front of an electronic device. For me, the trade off is worth it.

After that not-so-short explanation, I have to say that in a couple of weeks I'm not going to be able to do very many of my workouts in the morning. My morning hours will be booked. I'm going to have to shift "my time" to 3:30pm. It's going to be a harder challenge to be consistent. But I will commit. Decide. Succeed. (Gotta love Beachbody slogans!).

Have sweet dreams Ya'lllll!!!!
Sandra
