Good Morning Y'All!!

Sorry about the 2 parties going on yesterday, I think the forum update got us out of whack :) CCB done. This will definitely be my go to workout on those low energy days. I'm a bit nervous starting the month 2 workouts on Monday, actually I'm a bit scared  Also, I'm planning on doing the Fit Test on Sunday which is a scheduled rest day, but I'd rather do it then instead of Monday morning followed up by Max Interval Circuit - that just sounds brutal :)

Congrats on everyone's new shoes. All this talk is making me want another pair, although DH says I don't need a new shoes :( Today is meet the teacher day at DD's school then she will be at work with me all day since my boss is out so that should be fun ;) Hope everyone has a super day TGIF!!!

Good morning to all,
Today was CA and PC. I got to bed late last night and it showed during PC. I did see some improvement with CA though. I hate to have my last PC end on a so-so performance of it, but it was what it was.

Jennifer I don't blame you for doing the fit test on a different day. I was thinking of the doing the same. Enjoy the day with your DD.

Tomorrow is my last day of Month 1. Labor day is going to screw up my schedule, so I'm not sure how I'm going to handle that

Enjoy your day everyone. It's Friday!!! :D:D:D

Hi Everyone!

I am very excited that it is Friday. I am off from work next week but unfortunately it is a furlough week for me so I won't get paid. Luckily, DH has been busy with his consulting work so we have the $$$ to cover my lost pay. It just means no vacation for us this year.

I didn't post yesterday because of the forum issues and DH had some dental surgery so I had to do everything last night. Yesterday's workout was CR & CCB. Today's was CPR.
Dawn, sorry about the lack of sleep last night. I really hate when that happens.
Jennifer, I did CCB yesterday and I really liked that workout. I am not sure I can do it 6 days in a row so I might sub some step in with it.
Becky, I am glad that PT is helping with your hip. It is amazing what a difference PT makes.
Sandra, I lost some inches with STS and I did go to get fitted for new bras since mine were getting uncomfortable. Now my bras are really comfortable but it took about an hour to find some that fit well. Now I need to do the same for my sports bras.
Brenda, I thought the deluxe pkg was expensive when you compare it to the original workout. I can't wait to try the workouts in month 2.

Have a wonderful day!!!

Good morning Ya'll!!!!!!!

Insanity and STS are done for today. It's a good feeling. I started with Pure Cardio, then did STS Disc 22: Biceps. Then I did Cardio Abs. This was my 2nd time doing PC and CA, and it went much better. Putting the bicep work in between helped me rejuvenate for CA. Also, I knew what to expect with CA, and was able to hang with Shaun for all of it, except those double leg C-sit extensions. Those are tough! I took frequent breaks with those. Otherwise, it was all good. Pure Cardio was tough today; my legs were very tired. But that's the whole point, isn't it? Layering on the intensity, so the body learns to work at a whole new level.

Tomorrow I teach AquaFit from 8:15 - 9:00, then CycleFit from 9:45 to 10:45am. So, no Insanity for me tomorrow. These two classes are crazy enough for one morning :). I'll pick up Insanity again on Sunday, with Cardio Recovery, and STS Disc 22: Chest. I'm starting Week 4 of Meso 2!! That makes me very happy. And yes, I'm happy with some enhanced muscle definition in the upper body. I love what M2 does for me.

Jennifer - You made it through Month 1! That means you are READY for Month 2! If you stayed any longer with Month 1, you would be staying within your comfort zone, because you've adjusted to the workouts. To continue to make progress, you MUST get out of your comfort zone again, and change up the workouts. And...it's only for another 4 weeks. Then you can go back to doing whatever you want :D. Only 4 weeks! You're going to exercise anyway....why not spend that time making a difference? BTW, I like your idea of doing the Fit Test on the Sunday. I may do the same, when I get there. Yes, you can appear to get leaner without losing weight. Essentially, your core and postural muscles may be getting stronger, and you may be firming up around the middle. And perhaps you're only losing body fat, while retaining your lean muscle mass. That's exactly what you want to happen. Keep up the good work!!

Dawn - Isn't it amazing how a bad night's sleep can affect you the next day? Excellent job on doing it anyway, and any way! You can cross that one off your list! I love PUB core work. It's some of her best stuff. The whole Intensity Series rocks, doesn't it? I haven't used much of it in ages, but it will always remain in my collection. In PCC, Shaun leaves out the double-hamstring stretch and the 10 rep glute raises, on the 2nd side. Or at least he does on my dvd :D. If he was going to leave something out, couldn't it have been those dreadful ski abs?? :p

Becky - Happy journey! How far away is DD going to be? Fabulous job on spontaneously subbing the cycle class! I love teaching cycle; it's a blast, isn't it? When you say "restart" Insanity, do you mean from Day 1? Was it you who was also going to do P90X? Is that still the plan?

Colleen - Where would you have gone for your vacation, if you'd had the money? We had a Stay-cation this year, too. DH finally got some much needed maintenance work done on the house, so I think it was a great week! :D An hour of trying on bras, huh? That's what I'm dreading. But maybe I'll go in the evening, when the kids can stay home with DH. That'll help.

Have a great day!
Sandra

Hello everyone.
Like Jennifer, I decided to do the fit test on my off day because i have my granddaughter with me all weekend and it will be hard to fit more than the scheduled workout day 1 of month 2 in tomorrow.
Sooooo, my numbers are improving with each fit test. i did teach a 75minute advanced step and sculpt circuit class this morning before doing the fit test, but I am happy with my numbers:

Exercise Number (#1) Number (#2) Number (#3)
switch Kicks 45 each leg 60 each leg 69 each leg
Power jacks 52 56 58
Power Knees 96 106 113
power Jump 36 40 49
Globe Jumps 10 11 13
Suicide Jumps 16 16 18
Push Up Jacks 28 33 35
Low Plank Oblique 35 each leg 34 each leg 39 each leg

I am telling you, by the time I get to the suicide jumps I really have to DIG DEEPER to even start th eexercise: my quads are still burning from those darn globe jumps.

Have a wonderful day everyone,
Brenda

Good Afternoon Y'All!!!

I love Fridays :D Meet the Teacher went well this morning. You know you live in a small town when DD's teacher also taught DH in 2nd grade  I told DH hopefully DD is not getting any paybacks from when he was in 2nd grade and he said he was still good at that age :D

Dawn - I'm a total wimp without sleep. I'm in bed as soon as I put DDs to sleep (8ish). DH swears they will start putting me to bed soon :) I feel the same way you do about the last go at PC - but don't worry, we have a new round of workouts to kick booty in Month 2 ;) Are you going anywhere for Labor Day?

Colleen - A week off sounds heavenly (w/ or w/out pay). I work in a small office (just my boss & me) so last time I had that much time off in a row was maternity leave with DD#2 (who is now 4yo) I added the Deluxe package UP weight workout Tues, Thurs & plan to tomorrow after CCB, which was a nice change although I don't bored of repeating workouts. I prefer a little repetition since some workouts get tougher for me the more I do them since I get to perfect my form & work harder.

Sandra - I love to hear about all your workouts. You are truly the Energizer Bunny and you motivate me. I can see why you are a personal trainer!! Thanks for clarifying my Insanity improvements. That's why I try not to get hung up on numbers because I have definitely improved in the way I feel and in my core even though the lbs have not been melting away. I am thrilled with my Insanity results so far and can only imagine what Month 2 is going to do :p

Hi Brenda - we were posting at the same time. Just wanted to congratulate you on your FT results!!!! WTG!! Impressive & after a 75 minute class no less. I agree, by the time I reach the Suicide Jumps - I'm worn out

Hello All,
First of all I heard back from my coach. She gave me a coach relations number I can call to order the deluxe add on DVDs for $44.98 but with standard shipping of $4.95. I haven't had a chance to call about this yet to confirm it's true, but if you do want to order them and don't mind waiting a few extra days for them to ship order them through a coach. :)

Sandra, I'm in awe.. I did improve with CA today, but I'm not keeping up with Shaun.... I'll have to pay closer attention to the stretch tomorrow. I can't believe I missed that.

Colleen, Yeah, a week off. Enjoy. If it makes you feel better (and I'm sure it won't ) I took a 20% pay cut about 6 months ago without the time off. Honestly, I'm just happy to still be working (for now), and I do take an occasional 4 day week when I can. :)

Jennifer, The DH and I are going camping again. We don't typically take a big yearly vacation. Although for our 20th we were planning on going to Alaska. We'll see if we can still swing that.

Brenda, Impressive numbers! I hope my 3rd fit test will improve from my second test.

Don't even get me started on Bra shopping. I hate it and I have never found the bra fitters to be overly helpful (perhaps I'm not going to the right place)

I also have to confess I live by the smoosh them down and hide them philosophy. Puberty hit me early and I was cursed with being well endowed for my size (back then anyway). After being treated like a witless bimbo when wearing things that didn't strap them down as a teenager, I decided to just strap them down and be done with it. This may not be true today, but back then it seemed (to me) people thought your IQ was inversely proportional to your cup size. Okay I'm done ranting.. Sorry

Umm .... anyway...... Wooo hooo It's Friday. :)
