Good morning, Insanitinas! This a.m. I did Max Cardio Conditioning and the cardio only from Pure Cardio, about 5 minutes of bread-and-butter barbell leg work then polished it off with Insane Abs. Then a bread-and-butter upper body set with lighter dumbbells (I tweaked a right shoulder area this past week due to BAD posture while doing a lot of computer work at . . . well, work) and a nice stretch. As always, a reliable sweatfest.

Next Saturday my pool is unavailable to me, so I'm gonna do Shaun (oops - that came out wrong!) on Saturday AND Sunday; I think Saturday I'll do Max Interval Sports Training, some more simplified leg barbell work and Cardio Abs, and then a nice mish-mosh of Max Interval Circuit and Core Cardio cardio only on Sunday with Insane Abs and upper body back to my heavier weights. Life is full.

Hello All

Saundra – I did not do MIST yet. After the final fit test I decided to put it off until tonight or tomorrow. I did preview it though and it seems like it is very intense but fun! I always looked forward to MIP; it was my favorite Insanity workout. My least favorite was MIC. I felt the same way that you did in my final week of Insanity. Your body does take quite a beating. Actually though, the final week was not so bad. Sometimes I had to tell myself just press play and go for it! OnceI as into it everything was fine. I felt really accomplished when it was over. The fit test is supposed to be taken the last day of that brutal last week. I did an excellent job on my final fit test. I needed to rest a few days before doing it and my results demonstrated that. My final results were so much better than the first test!

I too really like the length of the first month workouts. They were quick and to the point! I would skip most of the first stretch (please don’t tell Shaun T)! I felt that it was too long. I did a quick stretch and went right into the workout. The other modification that I made was after the first two weeks of month one, I went into the month two workouts. I did six weeks, instead of four weeks of the month two workouts. That worked out well for me.


I think that the month one workouts will be much easier if you go back to them now. After I do MIST I plan to do Pure Cardio next week. I will let you know how it goes.


Annette- Ypu had quite a workout today! Have you done the upper body weight training DVD yet? If so could you give us your review and how you plan to use it in your post insanity workout regime?

Hi Insane Regina! I have not done the upper body weight training DVD from Insanity, and have no real plans to do so at this time. Although I am notorious for purchasing entire home-ex DVD sets from Cathe (and now from Shaun presuming that he'll cough up some more delicious cardio) that include weight training, I really prefer NOT to weight train to DVDs, but instead in silence at my own pace. I buy all these strength DVDs because I may change my mind one day and want to use them, AND I always get them on pre-order prices (Cathe's at least). Kind of like a squirrel storing up nuts for the winter.

I'm also not following any set rotation with Insanity. I love just making it up as I go along!

Roselyn: welcome to Insanity!! What an awesome experience you have in store. I completed Insanity a couple of weeks ago and couldn't stay away from Shaun very long.... I started the 3.5 month STS rotation today and plan on mixing in Insanity 2 days a week. My legs really responded well to the Insanity workouts and I plan on subbing them for the leg workouts during meso 2 (The first time I did STS I gained inches in my thighs during meso 2 and I don't want that to happen again)
What is really cool is how much your cardio capacity will increase. What was hard for me cardio wise is now MUCH EASIER!!
A-Jock, I am investing in a dvd recorder in the next month... could you PM some of your favorite moshes??? I hope to keep up with your cardio junkie butt one of these days!!!

Hello all-
Started my last week of Insanity (for this rotation anyway) today. Did MIST. I like this one but it reminds me that I am not a "sports person". Never played sports in school and I still can't get those bronco kicks down.

Roselyn- I didn't follow the menu plan but I did clean up my diet. I'm no good at following a structured meal plan.

I followed the menu plan and lost 10 pounds (too much for me, I am small) and had to eat like crazy the last 2 weeks to gain a couple of pounds back. Since finishing I am still doing the 5 small meals per day because I feel sooooo much better spreading the calories throughout the day.
