Insane Damage Controlling on a SAT!

Good Morning!

I never did get back yesterday for personals...my bad:eek: When my boss came back after lunch he was fuming mad. Then something happened with a load of fuel that was getting delivered so that made matters worse. I just stayed out of his way and waited for him to go home:confused: I was outta there by 4 and off to pick DS up for the b-day party. Then from there I had to go to my MILs for dinner...(no kids:)) , after that friends of ours came over to get into the hot tub and we didnt go to bed until 1again. This staying up late is catching up with me.

Now tonight a girl I dont normally hang out with wants to get together. Where do these ideas come from? Its mad....mad I tell you! So one thing is for sure, I am not staying up past 12 this night. They arent real late people and I dont think they will hangout here forever.

My goal is to get a run and abs in today. Im not sure how far I will run and I am also not sure when I will fit disc 3 in. Its hard to do when I am working the day shift. By the DS goes to bed, I am to lazy to workout.

Wendy** Imax blast sound good though. Short and sweet. I didnt want to be on my TM yesterday and with every passing minute I had to tell myself..."oh, another minute gone by":rolleyes: Do you have any plans this weekend?

Diana** You should start getting up early the next couple of days just to get use to it again;) Im soon gonna need a break, just need to figure out when and where to go. We debated going south again with our friends but I havent heard about it lately. Plus, last night I found out how much the hot tub REALLY cost, I actually beleived what he told my darling mother! I feel like not going anywhere for a while:p

Jacque** What happened with your dog after? Is she o.k? Our dog is sheding like crazy right now. I think its a weird time of year to be sheding considering winter isnt even here yet. We are having a very strange winter! No snow yet...but no worries we will get hit hard yet! I never thought about doing STS in a month and half...but thanks for the idea;)

Laura** I never saw any of those comments. But when I do , they drive me to no end. There are people in this world that love to complain and love to be high maintance. If I dont like something, I consider it my fault, not cathes!

My workouts didnt arrive yesterday:( Its just as well they didnt because I would want to do them but yet I wouldnt because it would be to earl in the morning to learn new stuff. So its probably best if they dont show up here until my days off. I also had another parcel come yesterday from Sears:eek: I know, I know! Anyway, I ordered this really nice coat but for some reason I thought it was leather, probably because it was $200. I debated keeping it but I dont know if I can justify that kind of money for something that is cotton. I tried it on for both friends and they really liked it. They said I should keep it. Prehaps I will:confused:

Hey Girls!

Well, I let the dog out this a.m and thats when I realized how nice it was out. I decided to go for it and run outside. It was chilly, to be expected but once I get moving (of course) I am fine. I had to becareful of the black ice though. I kind of kept to the side of the road where the gravel begins. So I did STS pilates abs before I went and then did 10 kms outside. I was aiming for 40 mins b/c thats all the time I had but once I got outside I took a different route home and it took me 48 mins to get home. There is nothing on the go here anyway.

Well I went out last night. Went to bed at 2am and up before 7am. UGH! I am beat. I cleaned the house a bit and now it's time for a nap. We are putting down a new kitchen floor today so once that starts there won't be any rest for the weary! Better go get some zzzz's while I can!

Today's work out plan (whenever it actually happens!) is Tone It Up (with ab work this time, I promise!lol) plus some cardio if I have time and energy for it.

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday I did disc 3-legs and HIIT 40/20. OMG, that 40/20 is super tough. Yeah, I definitely took more than 20 second recovery between most of the exercises. My legs were feeling a little shaky during the cardio. I also previewed 30/30 while I was doing abs. Cathe mentions that it is the easiest of the 3 HIIT w/o's.

Today will probably be MMA boxing. I haven't done this one yet but have read that many folks like it and are using their weighted gloves.

Well tons of de-cluttering is still on the agenda today. Mainly tackling my bedroom where our dressers and night stands are covered with crap and then moving on to the kitchen. We also need to move some stuff around in the garage but that will probably have to wait until tomorrow when the temps should be in the 40's.

Lori-We have some bills to pay off too. Hopefully by we can get it all paid off with our tax refund and my bonus that we get in mid Feb. Of course, that's anticipating that we do get a refund, not a good position to be in. You will enjoy your hot tub for many years! Yes it may be a large expense but if you spread out the cost over the number of years its a good investment. You must've missed Jacque's post where she said they had to put her dog to sleep.

Wendy-Not much sleep for you...you should be used to it by now. You and Lori are the party girls! Nothing wrong with enjoying life. What kind of floor are you getting?

Jacque-What did you think of 40/20??? My HR was in the 150's just during the warmup. Who knew 40 seconds could be so long!!!

Laura-I didn't see the posts either. I'm guessing they were removed by the administrator. My knees were a little sore yesterday too, but I don't blame Cathe for that. Not everyone can handle high impact for many reasons. I did see some posts where folks were complaining the step choreography is hard. It's supposed to be is what I say. I also plan on rewinding every segment until I learn it...I expect too do this and am fine with it.

Back to report MMA Boxing is done. Wow, I really liked this workout and used 1# gloves. It also has a nice ab section at the end. I was feeling pretty energetic and decided to put in PCC from Insanity. Oh My, it was tough...and those level 1 drills get me every time.

Well Happy Saturday ladies !

Was gonna say morning but it just hit past noon here ! :p At least I have a workout to report . . . 40/20 (no workout last night as when DH came home he was ready to go to Chevy's for the Early Bird Specials so we were out the door in like 10 Min. A sure record for him ! :rolleyes: May double up on workouts tomorrow but we'll see. I have more work work to do this weekend again - may have my assistant back this coming week. It is gonna be hard cuz she's been running all over town while she has been off and I keep seeing her while I'm busting my butt with 60 hour weeks !

So then y'day I see my DS1 left a vm on my phone Thurs nite that DGS1 was at the hospital for an IV - dehydration. Then get a call y'day that they are taking him back up again. Seems that he has had an acute gastrointestinal virus and was so dehydrated that when he tried to cry there were no tears. Took them 4 shots to get the IV into his arm. Poor baby - then he looks at his dad and says "I'm sorry daddy, I'm sorry daddy". DS said it broke his heart. So today we're gonna stop by there before the hockey game for a visit and a quickie dinner. I am so looking forward for all the caca to stop hitting the fan ! :eek:

Lori - like Diana mentioned we let our little girl go so sleep forever - she was in quite a bit of pain the last couple days and couldn't go to the bathroom at all due to the tumor on her back end. I am really lonely without her and keep remembering that she is not here when I go to let her in or out. She led a wonderful life and was super trooper at the end even - not a moan or groan out of her. But that last look was torture as we left the room.

ITA that hot tubs are the best - so worth the $ and they will help so much with muscle soreness. Anytime you think you may get sore then hit the hot tub and it will not be too bad at all. Plus it is so relaxing I just love it. Haven't drained mine since the rain flooded it last - at this point need to conserve $ so heating it will have to wait since we are down in the 30's lately.

Diana - I had to take longer breaks also - it was a great workout and just when I figured I could do no more she said "well that was the end" and I was sooooooo happy ! :p I made it through - didn't have my HRM on but did wear my GWF so will see later how elevated my HR got. Hope all goes well with your decluttering. That is sooo on my list as soon as I can take time off at work. I was thinking about reserving the hotel room soon - should I go for it? Have you told DH yet?

I can't wait to try MMA either - good to hear you liked it like the reviews are coming in.

Wendy - so what are you putting down in the kitchen? I want to tile our entry way, dining area (where our parrots make a mess) and the kitchen. LOL at you being tired after 5 hours of sleep - just wait until your "old lady" hormones kick in. :p You kinda get used to sleeping all night only every few nights and just make due the others. :eek: Hope you get your SS in today.

Laura - I did see a couple posts re: SC and short cool downs but saw a response from Cathe and she stuck up for herself very well. Like she said, she considers us an educated crowd that knows how much cool down we need. I mean I see others use cool downs/stretches from various workouts. Sometimes I need something different than Cathe does so too bad - I figure it out myself. Cathe sure has to have a thick skin and I'm so happy that she just passes it off as part of the business that you can't please everyone. Still sad people have to degrade others though. No one makes any one person buy her DVD's. K, nuf said.

Hope you are making it through the cool days down there - be careful driving on all that ice ! Hope you and SIL get a good SC workout in this weekend.

To all of you . . . thanks for your well wishes and hugs ! It makes it much easier to get through the tough times knowing you are here for me. ;)

Hi Girls!

Figured I would do a quick check in. Not much happening on the home front. I didn't get together with the girls tonight after. One of them wasn't in the mood, she told me what was bothering her while I was on the phone so maybe next week we will do it instead. Then I can atleast have a couple of drinks if I wish.

Im not sure if we will be getting in the hot tub tonight. Im kinda in a pissy mood since I woke up from lying down with DS!

Wendy** Is your house back to normal? Renovations really perks the house up doesn't it? I can't wait to paint our house. We are gonna wait for a while b/c DS is still beating things up right now:eek:

Diana** I love decluttering. Sometimes its easier to take it all and throw it right in the trash. Truth be known, thats where half of it belongs anyway. Im looking forward to trying those new workouts! Maybe they will be here on Mon so I can give them a try all next week.

Jacque** So sorry to hear about your dog! I don't know whats sadder! The story of the dog or GS apologizing to your son for being sick! That one almost made me cry. Hopefully he will be on the mend in no time. As for your dog, of course you will get use to it over time but they will always stay freash in your mind. I still think about Chico everyday and if I think harder enough I can still feel his fur, espeically the soft stuff around his ears. He was an awesome dog as well. Speaking of which, our other dog is sheding his coat?? Seriously? In JAN???? Is there a need? I think this weather as him all confused. I think he is gonna be awfully cold in March month with his summer coat.
