Insane Damage Control: Saturday

Good Morning Ladies!

Boy do I need some damage control after last night's dinner! DH wanted to go out to dinner and the last couple times he's wanted to, I've turned it down so I agreed this time. We went to Outback and I ordered the Chicken and Swiss sandwich which comes with fries. I wanted sweet potato fries but they don't carry them any more. :( I didn't think to get a sweet potato or a veggie with it instead so it came out with regular fries. I basically cleaned my plate. I looked it up when I got home and the meal weighs in at about 700 calories! :eek: I also drank 2 cosmos which makes it even worse! :rolleyes: They were sooooo yummy though, JEN! :p Thank goodness that AT LEAST I ate lighter during the course of the day because I KNEW ahead of time that we were going out!

Okay, now for the important stuff! I AM SOOOOOO SORE!!!!! OH MY GOD! My arse is on FIRE and the entire area across the sides and back of my shoulders and the top of my back/lats are flamin' too! Changing positions in bed was NOT fun and getting out of bed hurt too! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: But guess what!? This ofcourse is now making me re-consider for the MILLIONTH time doing the X! lol At this point though, I would do my Insanity rotation as planned and just use the X for the weight work. I also want to use Shaun's U/B work out too though so perhaps I could alternate using Shaun's U/B 2 x per week along with X L &B once and then do all X the next week and so on. So much to consider! :p I should probably just not plan it out and roll with it....whatever happens, happens, right? :)

So today's work out is PURE CARDIO and I am going to see about adding CARDIO ABS on as well. It's not called for since I'm back in week 1 but I may do it anyway! :)

Well let me get this posted. I'll be back in a few to do personals. I was supposed to do them last night but it just never happened.

Lori:: Glad DS didn't want to get up super early y'day. Nice when he lets you sleep in, isn't it?

Laura:: Enjoy your weekend! Sounds like you have all of the best things in life planned! :D Yeah, your friend's DH should definitely man up and give her the info so that she can go pay her respects if she wants to. She can always find the info in the paper, no? She could also send flowers or a card if she is uncomfortable showing up w/o his prior knowledge.
 
Good Morning Everyone!

I think I caught up on my sleep last night. I went to bed around 11:30 and didn't get up until 8:30! One advantage of DS not going to bed early. I went to the mall with DD and when I came home, DS was still awake. DH said it was b/c he was being so good, but I secretly think that he didn't want to put him to bed.

So he let me get a 7.5 mile run in yesterday:) Can you believe that? I did jump off a couple of times to poke breakfast in his mouth or help him with something but that was it. The rest of the time he was perfect. I thought about doing the same now but I don't think I have the energy just yet. I was hoping to get outside for a long run today but its pouring out!

Wendy** Laugh at you trying to turn over in bed! Your gonna have arse cheeks like a man!:) Why do men have such nice assets even if they don't do anything? And the bottoms of their feet are always soft? Thats cause they don't do anything! LOL Sounds like you enjoyed your supper last night! Yummy!

Jacque** Just to let you know...I love naproxen!:D I usually have a big bottle on hand but they are all gone with that stupid toothache I had last spring. Soon be time to get me somemore. Actually, my running partner is a pharamicist and apparently there is a over the counter pill you can get that is similar to naproxen!!:D:p Good job with your workout yesterday!

Laura** Your friend really is in a hard spot, isn't she? And why isn't her DH talking to her...did she leave him? Sounds like you have a good weekend planned!

Not eating at night is still going well. Last night I did have some peanut butter Oh Henry bites:p Today the scale was 121.9. Thats not a number I get to see very often. I didn't really want to lose weight by not eating at night so I guess if I continue to do so, I will have to add in a night of something a couple times a week or just eat more during the day.But I eat lots in the day and I don't tell myself I can't have anything.Yesterday before dinner I had a slice of homemade white bread with caramel spread!:) I just wanted to drop the bad habit b/c Im not hungry when I am picking and its never healthy food. When I was down to 117 my periods were all over the place so I know I don't have far to go before my body will get all screwed up. The other thing is I can notice it in my work pants. My a$$ is the first thing to go....:( Ugh! Why can't we spot reduce!???? Ick!

Good morning girls !

Well last night was a great game - a hat trick (remember my "hockey lesson" where that is 3 goals by the same person in a game and the crowd throws hats on the ice?) by our "new guy" that they traded my fav player for so I guess it was a good trade. :p Met up with a few friends there and had drinks and chatted after the game for a couple hours. Was a good night - I needed it after my work weeks lately. :confused:

No workout y'day but today will either be cardio or a 4DS (whichever is next on my rotation) or I'll switch it for the weekend. Plan is to workout in the AMs this weekend and therefore not put it off until I get to the point of not doing anything. I need the stress buster lift that workouts give me.

Good news to report that I slept all night and woke with virtually no pains or numbness (other than the two times I turned onto my side, but then it went away as soon as I flipped onto my back). :D Happy happy happy for that progress.

Wendy - sorry you were so sore that moving made it difficult. Hopefully today it will ease a bit - Shaun's stretching is good - perhaps a little extra will help you today? I absolutely love Outback - I usually do a salad with a light or balsamic dsg on the side - but DH loves the onions so last time we were there we got one and I had a bit of it. They do great steamed veggies but you have to tell them not to pile the butter ontop ! ;) When I order a chicken breast I have them sub the rice for double veggies, yum!

Lori - well it's kickback for you for a few days, huh? Nice to hear DS is getting so much better - wow - a 7.5 mile run indoors with him home - great for you ! Hope today goes well also. As for the naproxen - naprosyn is the same and the brand name OTC is Aleve. I just doubled up on the dosage rather than get a prescription. They do a number on my stomach if I don't continuously eat - that is the only downer for me. I'm thinking with all the running and workouts you do you probably need to eat quite a bit compared to me at least. I definitely don't burn nearly as many cals as you do. You can always cut back if your scale starts heading up, but getting too underweight is not a good thing - but I see you realize that ! ;) I do remember the days when my scale was at 110 - don't think I'd ever go that far again but 117 a few years ago left me nicely toned and looking slim. I'd love to hit 120 - a goal that I doubt I'll ever get to - but at least Shaun left me slimmer in the LB. :D

Laura - well sounds like you are ready for the weekend - no working with the loonies, shopping and playing with DH ! ;):eek: Hope the DOMs get comfortable for you this weekend and don't hinder anything, Ha ! Good you made up with VBF and sorry to hear your BF has such a ding bat of a soon to be ex ! Men ! They can be so vindictive at times ! Sounds like she's making a good decision from what I gather.

Diana & Jen - hope all is well with you two - y'day musta been a busy one for you both.

Good Morning Ladies,

I spent last evening cuddling on the couch with DH watching Sons of Anarchy! I guess SOA is a tv series???, not really sure but one of DH's friends lent him the first season dvd's. I didn't watch the first couple so may go back and do that today.

I can't believe I forgot to check in yesterday. I had to be to work early so I did LIC upper body circuit. I've been enjoying my Cathe cardio lately but may throw in Insanity a couple times per week. I keep thinking about using the X workouts but am enjoying GS right now. The plan for today is a lower body wts, cardio and abs. I'm trying to hit the legs more often but with endurance type weight training.

I need some advice. I have to travel from Denver to Portland on xmas eve or xmas day so I can fly back with DS and the girls on the day after xmas. I've never traveled on the holidays so I'm not sure if one day would be better than the other. The ticket price is the same so that's not an issue. I would prefer to fly out on xmas eve simply so my son wouldn't be alone on xmas day. He doesn't seem to care either way though, it's just a mom thing I guess.

DH bought 2 more cars, kind of with his cousin. They clean'em up and sell them for a profit. Actually, DH's cousin has never put out the money, we always do. Well this time, DH's cousin came over after they made the purchases and said he didn't want to clean the cars or list them. Nice, after we are out the money. DH and DS2 are out cleaning them. The camera is charged and hopefully one of them will be listed this afternoon.

Wendy-Oh yes, I knew you'd be sore today. I actually saw P90X infomercial the other day and was seriously considering doing another round. Not sure if I will or not. Could try doing Insanity/X like you are for December. Love love love Outback. We don't get out very often so I enjoy those times when they come around.

Lori-Glad to hear you in control of your nighttime snacking. The most difficult time for me is late afternoon. I try to keep fruit, yogurt, or cottage cheese around for me to snack on. Enjoy your days off! Hope you get your run in today.

Jacque-How awesome to witness a hat trick in person!!! It's always so exciting!! It sounds like your PT may be starting to work, hope it continues. I'm really enjoying doing weight training and don't plan on giving that up again...not even for Insanity. Gotta say the plyo was great for my legs. Although I may have lost some strength, I definitely have more power. I saw the post on Shock Cardio and am looking forward to another round of STS w/ Shock Cardio. I'm sure Cathe will be putting out a Jan rotation incorporating the 2.

DS just brought the camera in and needs me to download the car photos for him.

Hey Girls!

I just finished my work out! I decided to pop MIST into the player completely un-previewed and just give it a whirl instead of Pure Cardio today. I LOVED IT! It's going into my rotation every week in place of the work out that is repeated so the next time I do cardio I will do Pure Cardio and I will skip the 2nd time doing PCC. Starting next week I will actually do MIST on the day when the repeated work out is done. FUN STUFF! :D

Gotta grab a shower and some lunch and then I think DS and I are off to the park to enjoy this indian summer we are having!

Hi Girls!

I am just waiting to head to the hockey game. I was going to try and have DS in bed and all that stuff....but I will let the sitter put him to bed. Im looking forward to leaving in 30 mins! LOL

Todays workout was a 15.5 km run outside and it was WINDY! I should have went earlier b/c it wasn't has windy then. I burned over 900 cals on my run and when I got home I did PH.

Jacque** Sounds like I am having a night like you had last night. Im looking forward to it actually. DS is getting better but he still has his moments. He is such a dare devil and when you tell him not to do something he will do it again and then run away! Drives me crazy. Then he will put something in his mouth and run around, wanting me to chase him. Im almost afraid to chase him b/c I am afraid that whatever it is, will slip down his troat. But at the sametime I have to get it out! And yes...Naproxen is very hard on the belly!

Diana** If the ticket prices are the same, then it probably doesn't matter what day you fly. I would think that Christmas day would be quieter then Christmas eve. Is your DH rotted with his cousin? Ugh...I would be ticked! I hope he keeps the profit for himself!

Wendy** Good job with the workout.

Alright...I am outta here. Having trouble figuring out what to wear. I am going to the stadium which is warm, then back here...then MAYBE go out? And maybe not? What I would wear out would be a bit different then what I would wear in the house. I guess I better figure something out!
