Infomercial ? -Found anything good out there?

Hi everyone,

I'm so tempted by the Ab lounge and I'm wondering if anyone has one and loves/hates it. Also, what about the other infomercial stuff - the gazelle, treadclimer, you know what I mean. I'm interested to know if anybody found something they really love.

Thanks,
Tricia

My MIL has the tupperware on a lazy-susan thinga-majig. I don't know if that would fit in my cabinets with everything else I have but I can always sure use the containers. I personally don't recommend anything else. Someone else here has a Magic Bullet & I must admit I'm tempted to get it.

I have seriously watched the Treadclimber commercial. I am just worried that my walking position is not natural to their side by side treads. I kind of walk with my feet nearly like walking on a straight line. The treadclimber is two things side by side and I don't know if that side by side kind of clomping along would be good. I think I would really have to test drive that machine before I would ever by it.

I have the magic bullett and it is sooooooooooooooo good. The juicer is crap, true, but the rest, really really good. I would recommend it.

I can't remember the name of it, but I want that ladder that goes to all the different heights. I don't know what I would do with it, considering that I live in a small Manhattan apartment! Goes to show you the power that infomercials have.

The only things I've ever bought from infomercials are Proactiv and Tae-bo (ages ago). Love them both.

I have the Gazelle and like it for a lighter no-impact work out. It doesn't come close to Cathe cardio for intensity but if you want options for other types/intensities of work outs, you might want to consider it...If you are the type who likes to push yourself to the limit with every work out then I would say the Gazelle is not for you.....HTH.:)

I have the Light Relief thingamajig for aches and pains. I kept the receipt and original packaging in case it was a dud. It actually delivers.

Have you seen the new Supreme Pilates infomercial? I've only seen it once and that was about a month ago and haven't seen it since. It comes with a foldable cadillac contraption and videos, including a Windsor video. It looks interesting, but pricey. Some VFer's had made some good comments on their forum. The website (www.supremepilates.com) doesn't explain much. It only shows you what your getting and the price.

And oh.. forgot to mention that it's celebrity endorsed by Patrick Duffy and Elle MacPherson. Kinda wierd, but, whatever. Someone said they saw Elle use the machine on a VH1 fitness special, so who knows, something to look into.

I got my husband an Ab Lounge for Valentine's Day (sweet, huh). Anyway, he used it a couple times before he quit working out again.

I haven't reallly done a workout on it, but I have tried it out. I got the cheapest version at Wal-Mart. The thing I don't like about this model is that you can't adjust it for varying heights. The part where your legs and feet rest is too long for me (I am 5'6").

Overall, I think you can probably get a good workout on the Ab Lounge, but I prefer to stick with Cathe for ab work. I have been tempted to use it in my rotation, maybe once a week. I just haven't done it yet.

If you have physical limitations that make it difficult to do crunches or ab work on the floor, this is a good alternative.

Hope this helps.

I've not found it yet but saw it once and would love to try that light. Something that makes outdoor light indoors?

It comes with a MBG so you can't lose. Get to try it I think for 90 days or something longer than 30. I want to say it's an optilight but I can't find it. Maybe because I was sleeping but this light thing did wake me up a bit.

If anyone knows what it is, please let me know. You can email me. I don't mind.
