"Info" button

I just wanted to remind everybody about the Info feature that is available at this Forum. I just love this feature, but it seems that very few people have used it.

If you don't know what it is, look at the top of your page where all of the other buttons are. There is one called "Info". If you click on it, you can put in your own personal profile and then when you post, the rest of us can access your info and get to know you better.

Maybe I am just nosy, but I like to read everybody elses profiles. Just thought I would post a reminder about this feature.

SNMers, please correct me if I have posted anything incorrect.

iNFO BUTTON

OK, I give up! How do I use this button? It's located where? How do I become a "registered user"? It is a cool feature.

where???

I can't find the button at the top of the page either. I'd love to tho if you can help out:)
Andrea

INFO Button

The INFO button is located at the top of the page. However, it will not appear unless you have registered and loogged in.

info button

is it possible to be logged in but NOT registered?
I don't remember with this new forum format being given the opportunity to do the personal profile. Maybe I just forgot. I'd like to do it.

Hi Tina from Indiana!

This is Susan from Indiana! I enjoyed your profile and you inspired me to submit mine last night. I'm like you, I like to get to know something about people. -susan p

Clarification & Question

The info button appears at the top of the lobby page and the opening pages for the individual forums, but not on individual thread pages.

Here's my question... Most of the time, when I click on someone's info button, it says "no such user profile." I assumed this was just because the profiles weren't filled out. I was able to view Tina's profile (Hi Tina, nice to "meet" you!) and my own, but when I clicked Susan P's info button (mentioned in her post below) I got the "no such user profile" message. (This was on one of Susan's posts after she did the profile.) Could there be a glitch in the system or something? Not that the info feature is of major importance or anything, but like Tina, I think it's fun to read them to find out about the different people using Cathe's videos. (And, yes, I'll admit to being a little nosy too!

Great picture, Lynne!

How did you do that?? I've read the directions but a computer whiz I am not! From the directions it sounds like you have to have a website to take your picture from??? Or am I misunderstanding those instructions?

Bev

SNM--Please respond!

I have the same problem as Lynn. Lots of times when I click on the info button, I get the same thing--"No such user profile"

Great Profiles Everybody

Hi Lynn, Susan and Myra! Thanks for satisfying my nosy side! It is nice to get to know a little bit about all of you!

Susan, you make me homesick! I miss Indiana a lot!

Myra, Great profile--no you didn't go overboard. I workout more for the emotional benefits too!

Lynn, Great Picture! You reminded me of some things I would like to add to my profile!

It's a Netscape problem

Did not realize that the profile feature was not working in Netscape. It works fine in IE. It should be easy to fix. We're a little busy now with the Cathe Cam, but will fix ASAP.

Yes, the picture is on a website

Hi Bev,

The picture is the same one that's on the bios page for the website of the ad agency I work for (whew! long sentence). The photo has to be on the internet somewhere in order to link to it. There are some free (great word) photo hosting services available, though -- one of them is http://www.photopoint.com. I'm sure there are probably others out there, too, but I don't know the names/web addresses.

Hey, I checked out your profile, too -- that one worked on my computer. (Maybe it's one of those intermittent Netscape problems.

See you on the Road Trip! (Although you're probably on a plane headed for Philly already!)

Lynne

P.S. I'll look a little different on the road trip -- my hair is about the same length, but I don't have bangs anymore!

Thanks, Lynne!

Thanks for the help with the photo! I'll give it a try and see if it works.

Bev
P.S. Wasn't the trip a BLAST???!!!

Found the problem

In Netscape if you have a userid with a blank space, the info button will not work. This is only a problem with Netscape. I'm not sure we can change the code to avoid this problem. I can only suggest that you not use blank spaces in your userid. IE users will not experience this problem.
