Increasingly Frustrated

I got to vent.....

I keep catching colds!!!!!! RRRRRRRRRR!!!! Been down with family to help out FIL who just lost his wife...everyone down there (my side of family lives in the area too) was sick last week, so being confined in a stuffy house with everyone sneezing all over the place is not helping me so I keep getting sick. I got my ab work in yesterday and then the ADT guy shows up and stays for 4 hours!!!! I could not wait for him to leave. Was going to do BC, but after children came home and dinner was made I started feeling run down again. I don't like to push myself when my body says, "no" and I keep getting too many interruptions so I have pulled the phone cord out of the outlet. My cell phone is in my car so I won't hear it and I am turning up the volume to 20 on my stereo system and if anyone comes knocking..."oh, well"> LOL! Missing too many workout times is not an option for me as I feel ooey and gooey like the blob, nor is being sick all the time so I bought oranges, oranges and more oranges and gallons of green tea and I swear when I go back to visit family again this weekend, I will wear a mask!!!!!!! Do I have OCD or what???? LOL! I just want to SCREAM!!!!! Thanks for listening!!!

poor charlotte, i do feel your pain(almost literally since my in-laws live to get sick this time of year). i hate that when maintence or somebody comes over and they stay for far to long. its good you listen to your body though and know when you feel well enough to workout,but with interuptions there isn't much more you can do then what you already mentioned. i hope its slows down just a bit so you can do your workouts. i see how dedicated you are so it must be frustrating.

I hear you Charlotte. I have been sick for over a week now and finally was feeling better yesterday. I woke up this morning feeling worse again. I feel like I am going to be sick until the end of time. I am the same in the fact that I don't like to push my workouts when my body is saying "no". So, I havent' worked out in a week.

It is a drag to be sick, no doubt. But you sound like you are trying to do the right things to get rid of it and to keep it away but if we are around sick people...look out.
I am fortunate that I don't get many colds.I guess I don't go out that much anymore!:) I have had some nasty ones in the past, more when I use to deal with alot of strangers.Now, the people I deal with,I don't have much contact with them so I think that helps.But I thought that starting shift work would have caused me to have more colds, not to bad yet though.

You are definitely not alone! I just got rid of some virus I had, my head was so stuffed up that I had a constant headache for two weeks. Then I got a wonderful cough which is still lingering to some extent. Its ridiculous. I've been taking over 4000 mg of Vitamin C a day and that still isn't helping. I missed 5 days of workouts because I was so tired all the time. I'm back on track now. Hope you feel better!
 
Chug that water, ladies! It's the best thing you can do for your body. Flush it out and get some rest. Oh, and if the symptoms fall below the neck or you have sinus pain...bag the workout all together. You'll be doing more harm than good by exercising!!

I hope you all feel better super fast and stay healthy the rest of the sicky season!
