incorporating sts with running/training

I know this question has been asked before, but I cant seem to find it. For those who are runners, how should I add sts as a total body workout for my cross training days? I will officially start my 1/2 marathon training, next week, for a marathon in Feb of 2011. I want to add sts as a total body work, working each body part twice a week. I know the program is designed to work each body part once a week, but I get the best results when I work each body part twice. Or should I even use the sts program and maybe use another series by cathe. I just love the results from the sts and dont want to give it up. Working each dvd, as it is designed, twice a week is overkill. Not to mention the time to complete the dvds in a single day...yikes! Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, V

What about doing a total body workout (like Muscle Max for example) once a week in addition to the three STS days? I haven't done STS and I'm not sure if this would be overtraining, but at least this way you'd hit every muscle group a second time.

Yeah, I thought of doing 3days sts and one day full body, but that would require 4 days of weight training. That would defintely be too much with my 3-4 days of running ( I think) a week. I just wish there was a shorter version of sts, I was hoping that someone has a rotation with full body sts program. I havent decided if I am going to purchase the new dvd's yet, the full body sts dvd is right on target, but money is an issue right now. Thanks for replying, V.
