In Which A-Jock Quits Smoking

Hey Annette..

Man i am behind .. i just got to reading your post and just wanted to add to already great words. I myself hated to admit that i smoked but i know have quit since Oct 23 i am smoke free!!! I smoked since i was 18 regularly and i am 37 and its HARD!! But i quit for my breast reduction surgery so i could heal .. my PS said i could lose a nipple if i didn't quit .. so uhhh.. yeah i quit!! LOL its been hell i have to admit. but i did it and you can too.. He explained to me what nicotine does to blood supply and that each drag/puff causes 15-17min blood vessel constriction .. and that scared me.. so anyway.. GOOD LUCK to you.. I know u can do it!!

Annette,

Contratulations!!! I know it has got to be so hard to quit but YOU did it!!! I can only hope that "little voice" sounds off in my husbands head. He has been smoking for years and always said he wants to quit and says he has to make that decision-no one can make it for him. Nagging won't help he says. So, I am patiently waiting and trying not to say anything even though it bugs me each time he lights up.
