In my next life I am only having dogs...

Got a call today from my 16 year old DD. Evidently, some wise acre decided that a fun practical joke would be to let the air out of her tires in the school parking lot. Of course she has to get home to change for cheer practice and both DH and I are at work. So, something else to deal with when I get home (I told her to catch a ride with a friend and that we'll deal with it when we get home).

And to think, I still have a 12 year old to go...

Oh, no, you can (and MUST) also have CATS!!!

Leslie

P.S. Our youngest is now, finally, 19 and the drama is decreasing a little...

I like cats, too. I think I'll be one of those old ladies who has a house full (a CLEAN house full) of unwanted cats and dogs and takes care of them all. 50 animals is easier than 1 teenager... LOL...

So it DOES get better? I'll cling to that hope...

Seriously, in the realm of things I've had to deal with this is a minor inconvenience, but with this one (she's a cheerleader), there seems to be more of these minor inconveniences... Probably some boy trying to get her attention.

Yes it does get better. The oldest is now 27 and the teen years were FULL of drama---primarily boy drama. She's now a happily married mother of 2 and attempting to help with her younger sister!

Sign me up for dogs only too...make that small dogs...and declawed cats...actually stuffed animals will work!

Deep in teen drama, 15 & 17 years old...help me...

I saw a t-shirt once that had me in stitches. It said, "Teenagers are why Animals Eat Their Young!"

Bella - I feel for you. Good luck!

I'm thinking just the opposite.. my cats are driving me nuts.... I've thrown them off my lap MANY times today. They both try to get on my lap at the same time.

My teenagers are great... you can reason with them... they are fun to talk to0.

No animals for me... next time around

I'm thinking the same thing too, lately. My dogs are the ones creating havoc and disorder in my house and my cats are NOT the clean creatures that they are supposed to be!! At least my teenagers don't throw up on my exercise mat or poop on the floor NEXT to the toilet/litter box or spread the garbage all over the kitchen floor. And they don't shed so badly that I have to vacuum every stinking day.

That's IT!! I'm throwing EVERYBODY out!!! It's just me and my Cathe videos from now on!!!

But I can totally understand the drama...I have 2 teenage girls - DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA!!!

LOL!

I tell my DD from time to time (she's 30) that her furry sisters are so much more well behaved than she was so I know exactly what you mean :)
