I find Imax2 is my most favorite workout tape!! Love the music and the steps! and I can now get through most of the intervals without stopping to get water and can get my water during the recovery, I still can't do the hop on one leg it kills my calves! and can't do the plyojacks she does. but hopefully soon I can do them without stopping too:)

Hi Leslie -

Regarding those one legged hops - are you being sure that your heel is all the way down when you land? If it hurts your calves, it makes me think you might be trying to stay on your toes more than is necessary. Just a suggestion!

As Cathe always says -
"You know you should be landing toe-ball-heel right? I know, you knew that!" ;-) She's so cute isn't she?!

WHAT in the world does that mean? I have never understood what the heck Cathe means by that. Yeah, to me, when you do the one-legged hops, you should be planting your heel firmly so that the brunt of the impact is dispersed more evenly, and your glutes and legs do more work.

But....isn't that landing heel-ball-toe? That is how you land when you run or walk. Toe-ball-heel implies that you roll backwards with your foot. Anyone????

Hi Janice- it's me again! Am I beind a pest?

When you land, your toe absorbs the shock. Go ahead and hop and feel what lands first-

Then you keep going, as gravity has its way with you! All the way down to flat-footed.

Jumping is different from walking. In jumping, the toe touches down first, when you land. In walking, the heel hits first but your weight is still being borne by your other, grounded foot.

With running, you're moving forward so it has to be your heel that touches first. Well, if you run backwards it would be the toe, right?
