IMAX Friday check-in

Morning "1st Friday o' the month IMAXers" -- hope you had a great interval workout today. I hadn't done the original in so long that I was afraid I'd be rewinding too much. Soooo - I went for IMAX3 and then tacked on the blasts from LowMax -- followed up with Stretch Max with the band. Am on with my trainer later today for back and biceps.

Whatever you choose for YOUR IMAX -- enjoy the sweatfest!
 
Hi everyone. I did Imax 1 (or at least I think I did - same as Intermal Max right?) It's too early to be thinking. I haven't done it in a long time. I was surprise at how simple but the fun the moves were. I did pass out, I mean drop out on interval blast 7, but I wasn't going to let it beat me so I picked up with step combo 8 and finished out the workout.

good job girls! i got 1/2 of imax1 done and had to get dd ready for pre-k. now i'm doing nursemax!:D
will finish imax after dd takes her nap...
....ahhhhh, i miss uninterrupted workouts! :p
 
Good morning everyone! I just got finish with Imax 1 and I did the whole workout and burned 600 calories. Wow what a fun but tough workout. I like that the step portion was just basic.
 
I did the original imax, really just because I thought of all you others doing it -- it was tough to get past the hair and the old music/set/etc. I don't mean to be snobby, that's just how I feel about it. It is a good workout!! I'll look forward to 2 or 3 next month!!

Got baby to sleep and finished up Imax1. I agree, pace, it is basic but so much fun! I almost did Imax2 because I know the moves better but I thought I should do this one and I'm glad I did! I'll be putting this back in regular rotation.
 
Checking in with 5 and 1/2 intervals of IMAX, the original. I LIKE this workout, in spite of the head band and the weird music! I love the simplicity of the step moves, but INTENSE on the blasts!

I WANTED to complete the entire workout, but I am trying to cut down on the cardio to see how that effects me. .... It was HARD!
 
Finished the whole thing! Great workout - but it was hard to look at those short-shorts and short hair!!!!! I really enjoyed some of those older moves and found myself smiling more :) How they did the whole thing on an 8 inch step is beyond me :eek:

I just finished...white headband on too! Sorry, no pic! You would NOT want to see it! I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting this old workout. It has been ages since I dusted it off and it felt so good. I even noticed how much more fit I was doing the intervals compared to way back when, so that was such a great feeling. I always struggle with choreo too but it was like riding a bike...it all came back! Fun, fun time! So, are we doing Imax 3 next month since we have done #2 & #1? GREAT job everyone!

Oh boy, the pressure is on! I'll be doing my workout a little later this afternoon. I don't have a headband, but I MIGHT try to do the pigtails -- LOL!! I'll report back as soon as I'm finished. Again -- you KNOW I'm a step weenie, so I'll be dong Basic Step. :p ;)
 
I had the best intentions but I just couldn't do the workout today. :( In my defense, I only got about 4 hours of sleep combined in the past 2 days and I'm beat. I just couldn't summon the energy to get through it. I PROMISE it will be the first thing I do tomorrow and I'll post a full report.

HA! Just for that, I think you owe us a full round of cardio fusion on top of Basic Step. JK. Rest well my friend - and come back fresh when you can.
 
Hi everyone! Did my IMAX workout yesterday afternoon, headband and all! Woo hoo! Then I followed up with 100 pushups. I haven't done IMAX in so long, but I had the same thought that I always do: love the workout, hate the music. Except for maybe that steel drum song. But I think that's why I don't do it more. I like how encouraging Cathe is, no matter what modifications you're using.

WOO HOO!!! I did Basic Step today and it went a little better this time. I mean, if you guys saw me doing step you would probably break out in uncontrollable laughter. I'm so uncoordinated -- LOL!! Anyway, it's kind of fun getting reacquainted with my step and there's no way I could do it without this group deal.

Jodi -- you look adorable with that headband! Your hair is so curly! So is mine but yours is much prettier -- even with the headband. ;) :D You're quite the push up diva!! :D

Lorrie -- what on earth are you trying to do to me, girl!? :eek: I feel much better today. I finally got some decent sleep last night and that's exactly what I needed.

Autumn68 - This group is doing an Imax (well, THEY'RE doing Imax, I'm doing Basic Step :p ) on the first Friday of every month. We're calling it Imax Friday. Everyone is welcome, in fact, the more the merrier!
 
Thanks Michele! It's funny you should mention my hair...I'm growing it out and it has been reminding me of yours! (In case you're wondering how I know what your hair looks like, you may recall that I was the one who photoshopped your face for the picture RetroFit sent to Coach Sean. I feel like I know you because I've spent so much time looking at your face! :D:D)

Jodi!! Ha!! You little stinker -- LOL!! I have yet to see that little gem of photoshopped artistry. :D

ETA that my hair is quite a bit longer right now and I can't figure out what to do with it. It's not as full and curly during the winter.

Here you go! (I had to give you more of a tan so that your face matched Debbie's body better!:)) And now I can see how much my hair has grown since July!
