Well, some of you already know that my old body can't handle high impact anymore, as much as I love it. But I'll be darned if I'm going to give up my Imaxes. The energy in those workouts is just too much fun. So I've been working out modifications and alternate moves for the high impact blasts - and we all know how incredibly high impact they are in Imax 3!
Last night I had a wonderful steady state workout, and for most of the routine, I kept my heart rate at the high end of steady state. Most of my modifications still resembled Cathe's original moves, although I had to change a few totally. One key was to keep moving during the recovery phases. I did a low-impact, high intensity move each time, usually a low squat-straddle into a side leg lift, coming all the way up onto my toe during the leg lift.
I just thought some of you might be interested, since I've read about others who need to keep it low impact. Good luck, and have fun!
