Imax 3... I am humbled!!

Hi all-

This is one heck of a workout!!!

I did it on Saturday for the first time, and couldn't believe how challenging it was. I think I went into it a little cocky, as that I have mastered Imax 1 and Imax 2 with no problem.

Well, this is a different story! It kicked my booty, and I was even taking breaks to try and figure out the new choreography. Other than when I am doing my long runs for a half marathon I am training for, I haven't been this wiped out in a long time!!

I love this workout! And while the choreography is more challenging than the previous Imaxes, it is definitely going to be worth the time to learn it and improve.

Take care, Lynn M.

I LOVE this workout! I'm doing it again tonight (did it on Saturday too) because I'm determined to get all the choreography. It's killer, and I love it!

OMG, I'm still just doing the first Premix (the first half of the workout), and this is probably my 4th time working on it, and today I was dripping!!! It was a super workout. I don't feel too winded with the step portions, so that's more like a recovery, but the Blasts are unreal! I'm so glad that no one besides my 2yo sees me doing this one! LOL

I do find myself liking it more and more each try....and this is coming from one who has a tough time with her choreography!

I actually posted that I "mastered" (did the workout w/o modifications) last weekend and this morning I was doing the first HC Extreme workout which features 6 of the IMAX3 step/blast segments and I almost fell on my butt three times tripping over the step. I wasn't even that early in the morning!:) But I did make it through the blasts again, that choreography is just tough!

I did this yesterday (about my 4th time) and I think it is my new favorite cardio! I love this! Cathe really knows how to kick up those Imax's!! :) :)

I thought since I have been doing Imax 2 without a problem that Imax 3 would not be to hard to master. I was wrong. The shorter recovery periods really seem to make a diffrence. However since I love to be challenged it is also my new favirot cardio workout. I never though I would have so much fun feeling so terrible:)

I am so glad that others feel the same way!!

I am looking forward to attempting this one again at the end of the week.. Now at least I know what to expect!!

Take care, Lynn M.

This one had me reaching for my inhaler as I was huffing/puffing/gasping for air at the end of the workout! That has not happened in years!

I have been doing IMAX2 for the last 2 weeks to give myself a break.

LOL to us all!!!

For me, it should be: IMAX 3... I'm dead!:)

I wonder what IMAX 4 would be like, if ever Cathe would make such a workout.

WooHoo! I got thru intervals 1 - 7 today!!! I'd only done 1-5 to date (ie. the first Premix), but today (my 5th time trying it) I persevered a bit more! Is it me, or are Blasts 6 & 7 not so so hard??? Of course, anything after Plie Jacks seems like breeze! LOL
;) ;-)

I'm thinking about opening it this weekend. I don't open them all at once so that I don't get overwhelmed!

WOW....Lynn....this should help with the half training!!!!! I did it today...Holy Moly....those plie jacks about killed me!! What an awesome workout....:+ :7 }( Carole

YAY - I'm doing this one again tonight and I CAN'T WAIT!!! And Carole, I agree, those plie jacks are killer. I await the day I can click my heels together like Cathe and her crew for all of them:)

Hi Carole--

Was this your first lower body work since your race over the weekend? If so, you certainly picked a doozy!!
Are you pretty much back to normal or are you still tender from the race?

I am definitely putting Imax 3 into my training regimen.. However, there will be as many days as possible between it and the long run days!! Right now I am using the excuse of "learning the choreography" for some extended rests during this workout.. its gonna be even tougher once I know the moves and can't use that as an excuse.

Hi Lynn...I did do a bit of Nordic track on monday to ease the pain out. On Tues I did a KPC premix and my legs felt alot better. I ran 3 miles Wed but my quads were still telling me not to run...:)..other than that I am feeling good. I had been dying to do Imax3 so I did...I had done parts of it and did the step only premix once. I think this one is alot closer to HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) training (if you have heard of that) than the other Imaxes. HIIT will definitely improve leg strength for running. Might be an idea for you to break it up and do Int 1-5 one day and then Int 6-10 another day. Thanks for asking...:)...Carole

Yahoo!
Got thru ALL of Imax3 this morning! The only blast that really kills me is the plie jacks one. I can't get thru the last set in it's entirety. And, is it just me, or are intervals 6-10 easier than the first 5??????
