I'm so happy, I completed MIC in one shot

I just finished an 8-week rotation of the Xpress series. I started my new rotation, starting with MIC the first day. Hooray, I finished it without gasping for breath or losing consciousness (just kidding). In the past, I had either done the Hi/Lo segment or the Step segment. Never did them back to back. It was such a struggle just to finish one segment.
I was so happy to know that all my hard work is finally starting to pay off. The Xpress rotation really seemed to kick in for me.
I can't wait to see what benefits are in store next.
Just need to share.
Thanks Jeanne

That's great, and very inspirational to those of us (me) who have MIC still in its wrapper. One of these days I will work up the nerve to at least watch it once! Little by little, I'll get there! I'm gonna try Cardio Kicks for the first time tonight...Betcha I don't get all the way thru! Oh well, it'll give me a goal to work toward.

Thanks for sharing your story!

Veronica

Hi Jeanne,

Completing all of MIC is a huge achievement!!! You should be so proud of yourself. I am still trying to finish the Hi/lo without gasping for air. I can finish it, but let's just say that I definitely look rough when it's over, not to mention purple. I can't even begin the step portion. But hey, hearing your good news gives me hope that one day, I too, will complete the entire video. Although it kills me, it's still tied for my favorite with the wedding video step section.
I'm so happy for you!

Veronica and Lisa, thank you both for your support. It means so much to share this with others who appreciate the hard work and effort put into this.
I am living proof that it actually pays off. I've been doing MIC off and on since it's release and this is the first time I felt I finally had it mastered. I hope it wasn't just a fluke and I was particularly strong that morning. I'll find out next week when a try a second time.
Thanks again.

Cathe, thanks so much for noticing. You are the reason why I've made progress. I've been using your tapes for years, but this is the first time I've done them in rotation form. That really made a big difference. I now look forward to working out and seeing what developes.
Keep the tapes coming.

This is what I will attempt to do for the first time this week, since I have put that in my rotation. Since I've done BodyMax and Imax, I'm sure I'll be able to do it, but I know it will be tough.

I just did it this morning......

....and it wasn't as hard as I was expecting it to be. The hi/lo is pretty tough, but then the step is so much fun that it flies by and before you know it you've reached the cooldown. I'm sure you'll get thru it honeybunch, let us know how it goes!!! :)

I had a week off from work, and extra time to exercise...

....so I did MIC yesterday, the whole thing!!!! What a workout!!! I think it ranks right up there with Bodymax as far as how wiped out I felt after I got done. BUT...what a sense of accomplishment to get through it at my age, or at any age!!!!! I'm proud of myself. Next week I'm back on schedule, so I'll do Bodymax and Imax along with a Taebo and two days of run/walk.

I hadn't previewed MIC for a long time, so I wasn't prepared for that intensity blast at the end of the step section.....but I stubbornly held on and finished it. Now I can eat Cathe's Milk Chocolate Bar cake that I baked today!!!!! It's the size of a two story building (not quite). I used 14 Hershey bars since I always have to use more chocolate. :9:9:9:9:9:9:9:9:9

Look Out HB...

...THAT cake is wonderful!! I am STILL eatiung it and you are right about it being the size of a building. 3-story, I think!! It was great and I got lots of raves, so THANKS Cathe. You made me look quite the baker!! :9 Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

Cathe..

..it is sooo good! Like I told HB, I impressed the family, thanks to you, for sharing your yummy recipe with us all. I also doubled up on my workout today to make up for the cheating I have been doing the past few days. Have a wonderful New Year and give your lil' one year old a big kiss from us all!! Your-Friend-In-Fitness, DebbieH :)

It was REALLY good!!

...and like I said, a REALLY tall cake. It is disgustingly rich, and that's what I like!!!!!! My kind of cake. Thanks for sharing that recipe!! :9:9:9:9:9

I have to tell you...I'd put some of that cake in a 12 oz. size Cool Whip container to give my kid, and forgot to take it along when I saw him last night. So, when I got home (from Gulliver's, Deb H) from seafood buffet, I ate that WHOLE bowl full of Cathe cake!!!!!!! Then I sank on the couch on didn't move the rest of the night. Hog Heaven!!!!!!

I just had the same experience myself yesterday. I had done 4 weeks of the Crosstrain 6 day rotation, as is, and just switched to a totally new lineup. I did Circuit Max Thursday, which was way easier, which is not to say it was EASY. Just easiER. Then yesterday I tackled MIC all the way through for the first time. It wasn't easy either, but I was surpsrised that during the intensity blasts at the end I was still going strong. It's so inspiring to see and feel the results and difference from working hard and following that great Crosstrain rotation. I also found that during MIS I was way stronger, I had to up my weights quite a bit. That blew me away! It was almost like an out-of-the-body experience. Can you say X-Files?!

It really gave me such a charge and an tremendous ego boost to master that workout yesterday, makes me feel invincible! And I'm glad I'm not alone. ;)
