I'm new... which dvd for me?

Hi,

I am pretty new to step aerobics and heard WONDERFUL things about Cathe's videos.

I took step years ago and want to get back into it.

Which DVD is recommended for someone just starting back into it?

And also, is there a DVD that includes some weight training as well as cardio?

I was looking at the Classics Vol. 1 dvd that has Step Jam, Step Heat, and Step Max... what do you think?

Jayme...Classics Vol one sounds like a good one to start with. It's all Step aerobics. Bodymax is step with a tough weight section, and Circuitmax has weights and aerobics mixed. Once you start...you will love it....and Welcome to Cathe...:)...Carole
 
Yes, the Classics has her older workouts which her catalog claims to be easier to follow. So you might like to begin with that one. Mega Step Blast, a much older workout and in VHS only, is also advertised as not as complicated as her other workouts.

I started with her Cardio Hits DVD. I'd been stepping for many years then, but still had a hell of a time following Power Max. But I had a blast (and still do) once I got the hang of it.

Once you get used to her choreography, you can add those workouts with weights. I particularly like Cardio & Weights from the Intensity Series. There are also Circuit Max, Body Max, CTX Power Circuits (weights are for lower body) and Bootcamp.
