I'm gonna do it this time

Hi Everyone,

I just swalowed the last piece of the" Mother's Day cake" and decided to start my weight-loss journey.
I need to lose 20 lbs.
I tried all kind of diets but wasn't able to stay with them for more than 2 weeks. Finally, I found a nutritionist, who explaned how to eat, what to eat,and when to eat.
I think this time I will be able to do it.
I'm a workout fan, but since I eat too many bad carbs I still struggle with that 20 lbs.
I visit this forum since January and found it very helpful.
So, here is the plan:
Two weeks fat loss training:

Tuesday: Spinning/bike/+ Core Max 1
Wednesday:Imax 2
Thursday: KPC
Friday:Step Blast
Sat: Interval training+ Core Max 2
Sunday:Spinning
Monday: Step Blast+ Core MAx3
Tuesday: OFF
Wed:Imax2+ Core MAx
Thursday: Spinning
Friday: KPC
Sat:Interval +Core Max
Sunday: Spinning
Monday: Imax2

After two weeks I will make another rotation.
Well, I will try to eat clean and hope I can stay on this plan longer than two weeks.
Every time, when I lose some weight I get so excited and I lose the control over my eating habit. I think this is what they call yo-yo diet.

So, tomorrow I will step on the scale and write down here the result.
Should I measure myself daily or weekly?

Thanks for reading my topic!
I appriciate any suggestion, recommendation.

Best Regards
Krisztina

Krisztina -

Good for you! It's never too late to turn the corner and make changes in your diet and fitness routine. I know the yo-yo cycle quite well - it's one that I constantly struggle to break.

I know others will have helpful advice but it looks like from your rotation that you are missing some strength training. You may want to incorporate a workout session with weights a couple days a week since lean muscle mass also burns fat - sometimes hours after you've stopped working out!

I see that you like to spin! I used to spin - I LOVED it - what a great workout!

And I would definitely say measure yourself no more frequently than once a week - if that. Our body weight fluctuates so much (that time of the month, etc.)that it may not be your best indicator of success. Be sure to also take various body measurements. You often lose inches before the scale moves at all.

Good luck, HAVE FUN and check back with us often!!

Angie

Thanks Angie,

Yes, you are right, I forget to include my strength training. Since I always do my cardio early morning, I will do strength training on Tuesday and Sunday afternoons, evenings.
I have all Slow and Heavy and Legs and Glutes from Cathe so,I will add those to my rotation.

I love spin too. It is a great cardio workout!

That's a great attitude! you have to start somewhere! good luck on your journey and keep us posted!

Hey Krisztina,

Good luck! It sounds like you've got a busy schedule ahead of you! I know you'll find lots of support and inspiratoin here!

Good Morning Girls,

Thanks for your support. This will be the first day. I stepped on the scale and the result is:156.5lbs.
I also measured my hips:41 inch and waist:30 inch

I did my cardio/spin bike/ + coremax 1.
Hopefuly I can do PUB in the evening.
Now I only have to eat clean. Well, that is the hardest part.

Krisztina-good for you for taking the plunge and being dedicated. Know that you are NOT alone in this struggle you have. I also have a problem with my eating habits. I LOVE to workout and do it regularly, and usually my eating is under control. But every few weeks (recently, every 2 weeks) I lose all self-control and go hog wild on the junk food.

I am with you! I start my new routine tonight with a long run on my treadmill. I am going to take my measurements tonight also.

Yeeeeeee!

This is great Gayle! We can do it together.
I'm in the same situation. After two weeks I lose control and I eat only junk and gain back at least 2 lbs.

Have fun with your long cardio tonight!

Krisztina

I'm doing well so far. I had my dinner: chicken brest, brown rice, peas, fruits.
It is almost 7;00pm here in Pittsburgh and the most challenging part of the day just arrived. I have a list what to do when I feel binge, and I will try not even look at the kitchen door. The kitchen is closed!!!!!!!!

Have a nice evening!

Good for you! It's always great to measure inches too because the scale doesn't always tell the entire picture. I have lost inches before and the number didn't budge on the scale! You don't have much to lose and you can do it! Great start today! Good luck!

I am in the same boat....20 lbs to lose, but those bad carbs are always calling my name. I usually measure weekly, and write down how my measurements change. I am doing WW (on my own, no meetings) and have lost 28 lbs since the end of the year. My stomach was 42 inches, now it is 34 inches....but I have only lost 1 inch off each thigh (my problem area). That sounds like a good rotation, hope it works for you!

You know what I do for motivation...? I have a pic of Monica Brandt (fitness competitor) on my fridge....everytime I go to get something to eat, I see her, and how I would love to look....I find it helps me alot!I know it is silly, but what ever works, right?....

You can do it....

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your support. Wow, Joanna you did a great job, 28 lbs and 8 inches from your stomach. You must be proud of yourself.
Usually I lose inches from my brest, arms and hardly from my waist and hips. Those are my problem areas.
I think it is not silly to find something that keeps you away from eating.
I will try that!

Today I did my cardio, I ate clean. My family decided to go to Wendys and I had a side salad and baked potato. Both were very old so I didn't enjoy my dinner at all.

Joanna, how often do you measure your hips, thighs etc..?

Have a nice evening!
