I'M GOING TO PRAGUE!!!!

TeTe

Cathlete
DH & I have been offered free flights to Prague (well, we have to pay the taxes, about $350) in May!!!

Any advice on a reasonable hotel, off-the-beaten path places, restaurants, etc. will be greatly appreciated! I'll be checking tripadvisor, expedia, etc., but thought I'd see if any of you had any experiences to share!

Thanks!

I just wanted to say have FUN and I'm jealous. :p So can't help because I've never been there.

So nice to have a trip to look forward to.

Therese

You will love it!

Prague is wonderful. It's been about three years since I went there, but I remember the bridges, Cathedrals, and amazing architecture. Definitely schedule a walking tour. Since I live in Europe, I'm partial to the "Let's Go" series, but some prefer Rick Steves. If you search www.ryanair.com and look for Prauge as a destination, you might find some good stuff. I've always had success with that site. However, it is a low-cost airline company that runs all over Europe. Have a blast! Anywhere in Europe is wonderful in May.

I have no advice either, but just wanted to also say how exciting that is! I've always wanted to go there!! You'll have to share some photos once you're back. :)

We just had a family who became missionaries come back from there for the past year. They really enjoyed it & were sad that it was time to leave.

Have a great time & be sure to share pics!! :D

Thank you all so much for the good thoughts! And yes, there will be many, many photos, I am sure.

Laura, thanks for the website link, I plan to do some delving into it. And, yes, I love Rick Steves and Let's Go, myself!

Any more advice is still welcome...PM me if you want to share any Prague travel advice, stories, etc.!

Would you like to pack a semi snarky red haired beeeyatch who is the habit of unintentionally offending people lately in your suitcase? I promise to keep my trap shut as long as I have an iPOD tol listen to.

Sure, Beavs. I'll practice stuffing you in my suitcase when we see each other in NYC February! (how many air holes do you think you'll need?)

I went to Prague about 20 years ago and no not remember anything specific, except it was beautiful!!!! We just walked and walked and walked and took it all in :) Have a wonderful time!

I have always wanted to go there, in warmer weather but it's always been on the top of my list. Post lots of pictures here, please.

OMG! You are so lucky,

ENJOY!
