Hello everyone! I just needed some encouragement so I knew that Ya'll were the ones to talk to. I have recently started a Cathe Weight rotation, just finished power hour, 2x's a week for three weeks and am now starting Pure strength. I have a hard time firming up my legs..they tend to be thick and rather soft! I have no weight problem...I probably could lose 5lbs or so But I was just wondering how long before I sould see results??? I'm getting impatient! I guess I want them NOW!!HAHA! I can't lift very heavy and make the entire workout...will that make it harder to tone up? I'm using about 20-25lbs for squats and 35 for dead-lifts I could probably use heavier that 20-25 for pure strength..but on power hour just the weight I had was killing me!UH! So anyway...just curious on how long to see some results! Thanks! Rhiannon

Right I can't gestimate how long it will take your legs to improve.

But can I ask are you doing any cardio, running, swimming not necessarily vids?, if so what how long i.e. 30 min 3x a week? And also how long have you been lifting weights?

It might help the educated crowd give you more useful information.

Hi! I've been lifting for a couple of months off and on but am just getting on a schedule. Like I said scheduled only for a month or so. I do the cardio ...basically just vids and some walking 3-4 times a week. Thanks again! Rhiannon

I would say you are on the right track do you like step at all the only reason is that all that stepping on and off a platform really works your legs. As well or alternatively hi/low (I'm a stepping fool so I will always go for that)

I know that Pilates helps with developing legs could you add that in I originally used the lower body portion of Karen Voights Great Weighted Workout. Perhaps walking coming home and working your legs it will take a while for your legs to develop I am afraid but when they do it really shows.

How about making sure you walk up and down stairs (instead of taking the lift or escalator) when you are walking around town taking long steps.

Sorry can't be more help.

Hi Babs!
Yes I'm a stepping fool also I used to do Karen Voight and now the only stepping I do is Cathe although Karen's energy sprint has some good leg work in it!
I don't think that I understood your sentence...Perhaps walking coming home and working your legs it will take awhile for your legs to develop I am afraid but when they do it really shows. Also do you think that my jan. deadline is not long enough? Thanks for all you help! Rhiannon

Rhiannon

I took my legs from between 3-6 mths before I began noticing a change what I meant was using the stairs more as the concept of stairmaster and stepping comes from people going up and down stairs great leg worker.

Sorry but time is the only thing you are doing the right things sorry can't be more help.
