I'm crushing all over again...

on Timothy Hutton.

When he was on "Ordinary People" so long ago, I thought he was the most wonderful thing since sliced bread.

Then I grew up, he fell off the radar for the most part, and I pretty much forgot about him.

Now he's back on "Leverage", and can I say his age looks very good on him? I don't even mind the loose skin on the chin or the wrinkles or anything, Come here honey, and tell mama all about it...;)

I am doing the same thing right now with Keifer Sutherland! OMG, I have gotten into "24" and adore and lust after this man...good grief. I loved him years ago in "Lost Boys" that vampire movie, but forgot about him until now.;)

Has "Leverage" started already? What day/channel/time?
The previews look intriguing.

I haven't been paying attention to TV the last week or two (hardly anything on but Christmas stuff this time of year, it seems) and have been re-watching my "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" DVD's with the French language track (yes, I'm a 16-year-old girl!:p).

Timothy Hutton! I loved him when I was a wee girl. :D

I rarely watch TV these days and have no crushes via that particular medium. However I have made it abundantly clear to DH that I hope to find a copy of The Dark Knight under the tree. :D

I love me some Timothy Hutton! In fact, I remember hating Deborah Winger for awhile, simply because she used to be married to Timothy. Even when he plays a sleeze bag (which he did for quite some time in the early 90s), I like him. "Ordinary People" is SUCH a great movie.

Sorry to highjack this thread but...

Kathryn: I love me some Buffy, too!! What's your favorite season? I've seen them all, but own only seasons 5-7 (I've a soft spot for all things Spuffy, though I dislike Glory, Dawn, and pretty much all of season 7). Though I dislike Riley and the main plot arch of season 4, that particular season offered up some of the series' best episodes ('Fear, Itself'; 'Restless'; and 'Hush') so it'd be cool if Santa brought that my way.

Okay, I think I'm going to go listen to my "Once More, With Feeling" soundtrack.

Where do we go, from here?

I like many of the seasons (I'm on season 5? right now the one with Johathan/Warren/and that other one I can never remember---and noone else can either!---as the main bad guys): especially the first 2 with Angel.

I did and still do intensely, dislike the "Dawn" character. They almost jumped the shark on that one, but it got better (though I never liked the whiney little brat!)

Riley was always very "meh" IMO.

I agree that even in the not-as-good seasons, there are some great shows (I just recently watched the musical--they even dubbed the songs in French! Mostly very well done, except Tara's voice sounds like an old crone singing!)

The other guy is Andrew. I just love the way he says, "Vam-pires." He is hilarious.

Riley is bland and I totally didn't buy the love story in that season. Angel with Buffy I believed, and Spike with Buffy I believed. I like Dawn only because if it weren't for we wouldn't have the episode "The Gift," and that is one of my all-time faves - cheesy and overdone but I really like the end and though most folks hate the mopey, dreary Buffy of season six, I actually kind of like it.

And I know it wasn't a fan favorite, but I really dig the episodes with Dark Willow.

I think Leverage is kind of like a TV version of Ocean's Eleven. I watch and think, "Yeah, riiiiight.." with all the just perfect twists and turns and gadgets, but it is a great 48 minutes of fluffy fun.

Since I'm listening to the French-language soundtrack, I don't get to hear that (and it's been a while since I've seen it before, so I don't remember).

For me, it's still Eddie Cibrian who's now playing a detective on The Starter Wife. Yummmm. Not nearly enough screen time, though.
