If you own a Boxer dog..??

Hi Gayle, If that is Rascal in your avatar, he is adorable. I just love the expressions on a boxer doggie. A question: what kind of dog kibble do you feed him and how much? We are feeding Cassius about 4-5 cups of adult kibble plus treats like peanut butter and carrots. Perhaps we should run him less, but he just loves it and becomes restless and destructive otherwise. He is up at 5:30 am and down by 7:3--8:30 pm. deb

The first picture I posted was Mercedes' puppy picture in her first new faux fur coat Here is another puppy picture. awww, I miss having a baby!

I feed my two whole food for treats too. Maximus has a sensitive tummy.
I feed grilled chicken breast strips and chicken/apple/gouda cheese sausages from Costco. Everyone in the house loves those sausages and they are only 110calories, so split it makes a low cal snack for my two.

Oh my GAWD...I could eat Mercedes with a spoon!!! Cheese...I never thought about feeding Cassius che-e-e-se! I would be a rock star mama if I did that. And cooked chicken and suasage too?! Okay, so I would probably have to introduce new snacks one at a time. I buy plain yogurt just for him and he digs it!! I heard it was good for gas.

My DH just came in from taking Cassius for a run with his new EasyWalk harness and he said that thing is AMAZING...no pulling...nada! Just for the street part of the run and then when he hits the canal bank off it goes and away Cassius runs freeeee! Don't you just love to watch your dogs run and play?!

Thanks for the nice words about my puppy and daughter...she's away at college and we miss her and she misses her Cassius.

Another Boxer mama here! Glad the goopy eye thing wasn't serious, Deb.

Rascal gets some fresh food treats, too. A lot of what you listed, but also bananas...w/ PB of course! We eat them together.

Also, ABRA (American Boxer Rescue Association) is a good place to look for regional Boxer rescues.

Cynthia - You have the best pics!

Deb - Cassius is beatiful. We feed Rascal a wet/dry combination. He gets 2 1/2 cups of Nature's Variety kibble plus about a 1/2 can of wet food each day, all served over 3 meals. I mix up the wet stuff between EVO, California Natural, Merrick, Eagle Pack Holistic Blend, and sometimes use canned Jack mackerel.

He stays right around 65lbs which appears to be a good weight for him.

We do have a lot of fun with him, he's the best companion...almost like a person sometimes.

BTW, we also use the Easy Walk harness...that thing is great!!!
