What do you sub to eat healthier? I hear a lot of talk about clean eating, I would love to clean up my diet, but I'm not a fan of fruit. I like veggies (cooked) but can't seem to get myself to eat 5-9 servings a day. I buy with good intentions and then ended up throwing them away disgusted with myself. Is there hope for a clean diet or semi-clean for someone like me??x(

I'd try steaming your veggies to retain maximum nutrients, for one suggestion. And make sure you eat as wide a variety of them as humanly possible. :9

Are there any types of fruits you do like? Berries are particularly healthy: low glycemic, and with loads of antioxidants. They also make a nice addition to a smoothie or protein drink (you can slip in 1-2 servings there).

Add blueberries to oatmeal or muffins or pancakes.

If you freeze ripe bananas, then blend them in with other fruit, you can make an ice-cream-like dessert/snack.

Also, think out of the box: try a different fruit each week.

Try to get in some raw veggies as well. Green leafy veggies are the most nutritious vegetables. You can get them in two salads a day (I sometimes get lazy, and instead of a salad, I 'make' what I call a 'hand salad' or 'finger salad': a heart of romaine washed, and just eating the leaves as-is.). Having a salad before both lunch and dinner provides phytonutrients and enzymes.

You could also snack on cut veggies and hummus or another type of dip.

Add veggies like kale (perhaps the most nutritous veggie around) and collard greens to soups.

Wraps are tasty and fun to eat, and you can get in some of your daily veggie intake by adding cucumber, avocado, carrots, and lettuce to them.

Adding veggies to fritatas or scrambles (tofu or egg) and making stirfries also add to your daily veggie intake.

A little more here, a little more there can add up over the course of a day.
