Idea Instructor of the Year?

How do you get nominated for the Idea Instructor or the Year award?
Do the fans get to vote or is the votes just from the industry?
I know you would get lots of votes from this group. Unanimous I would suspect.
All of your videos are great, Cathe. They are all classics and I can't see myself giving up a single one of them. But,I just completed doing the new vidoes and I'm so impressed. Your instuction is easy to follow and the form pointers for Kickboxing was very professional. Now I know where my foot is supposed to be pointing at. hahaha

I love the new moves in these videos, I'm enjoying the challenge in the weight work and you even made the hi/low (my weak point) fun to do. All I can say is WOW!
I did Step Jump and Pump without previewing (shame on me) but yes, I WAS singing the song during the Triceps...you caught me.:p :p

All this excitement over the vidoes....and The DVD's will be out of this world...all the mix and matching possibilities, which is an industry first in its own right.
I just think you need some kind of award for your achievements.
 
Hi Wanda! You are so sweet. Thanks so much for sharing your enthusiam. I appreciate your feedback as well. I am pleased that you enjoying Step Jump and Pump. That is one of my favorites too. It has a bit of everything and moves through the paces quickly. I'm glad you noticed the weight work was challenging. I kept the weight fairly heavy to keep the muscles, heart rate, and calories burning at a constant pace. Keep up the great work:)

AMEN to that!! Did someone post they emailed IDEA? I'd love to know if all of us could nominate Cathe! They'd be swamped with nominations!!!

Here's what I got from IDEA in response to my question, "How is the IDEA Instructor of the Year chosen?"

>In answer to your question, IDEA members may apply for this award by completing >a series of essay questions -- the application is available to download on >www.ideafit.com <http://www.ideafit.com> -- and then returning six copies of the >application and all other required back-up information to the IDEA office by the >deadline. For 2004 award applications, the deadline is December 1, 2003. A panel >of five fitness professionals then review the applications independently and they >score each application based on established criteria. The judges then send in their >scores and the person with the highest average score becomes the IDEA Fitness >Instructor of the Year. This is also the process for the IDEA Personal Trainer of the >Year and the IDEA Program Director of the Year.

I wonder who choses the panel?
I think there ought to be a People's Choice type of an award.
The Idea award sounds to me like only 5 people decide who is in and who isn't.
Interesting.
